Around the Big East

Also if Aiken is down for the year that’s unfortunate because he was playing great. But that’s been the kids history forever.

If I’m his parents, I’m being extra cautious with the concussion-stuff. This is a kid who will have overseas opportunities if he wants to play ball but also has a Harvard degree and connections on top of that.  I’m not doing anything that could impact him long term.

I think the Hall still gets in because of their OOC wins. Who this really probably hurts is Willard who I’m sure has his eyes on Maryland and Louisville. Willard’s been able to work his Willard-magic before to convince kids to do stuff but you have to wonder if the Hall is going to be even more cautious with this because of the Myles Powell suit still being out there.

UConn at home bullying Xavier up 17 at the half.

Hurley gets a lot from seasoned bench guys like Whaley and Polley

Like last year, Xavier  imploding down the stretch of schedule

I just flipped on the unconn-Xavier  game.

All I can say is f*&@ unconn and its fans, and a pox on the Big East and all their ancestors for resuscitating that program.

I hate them.  I hate their fans more than any other fans in all of college hoops, even more than the Dookies.

And it's good that they're back in the league, because it's good for the league and what's good for the league is good for all of the teams in the league.

Bouknight , girlfriend and pal all got tossed from Arena for mouthing off on Ref .
Kudos to the ref that chucked him.

Fremantle and Nunge too many empty trips down the Stretch , missing crucial shots . The U Cons look like a winner with 1:23 left .

Remaining Schedules:
Xavier: at Providence, home Seton Hall, at St John’s, home Georgetown
Seton Hall: home DePaul, home Butler, at Xavier, home Georgetown, at Creighton
Creighton: home Marquette, away St. John’s, away Providence (cancelled),home UConn, home Seton Hall
Marquette: at Creighton, home Butler, at DePaul, home St. John’s
St. John’s: home Creighton, at DePaul, home Xavier, at Marquette

I think Xavier and Creighton have the 2 toughest schedules remaining. Seton Hall has the easiest. St John’s and Marquette are middle of the road.
We just need to win games, and see where the chips fall.

In line with a post that Beast recently wrote focus on what we can control. The only thing we can control going forward is our play as the play of other BE teams is not enough to get us to the Big Dance. Only our winning can take us there and we have to win as many of our remaining games as possible.
with Posh back in the line up playing great ball, Wheeler continuing to play at a high level and hopefu ly Champs slump is done we are a very tough out with those three alone clicking on all cylinders. Wednesday night is huge and once again is our most important game of the season. If we can win Wednesday there is a good chance we will win the remaining 3 games and it will be hard for the pollsters and media to ignore us. We will go into the BE Tournament on a super high note and let the chips fall as they may. Maybe we will even have enough spectators present to have a home court advantage, would that not be great.
let the players rest until Wednesday and I am sure CMA will have a good plan for Creighton.

Root for depaul tonight over SH to keep us tied for sixth in the conf.

Georgetown was competitive throughout with Nova. Lost by 8 but it was not like they trailed by 30 and got some meaningless points late. To their credit they stayed competitive throughout.

A shorthanded depaul team giving seton hall a ot can handle.  Depaul has had injuries all year and still competes night in and night out.  If stubblefield can recruit, depaul will become a top team in the big east.  He is an excellent coach.

Don't know why depaul left 3 timeouts  on the board when they had the ball twice on what could've been last possession.

Saving them for our game. Part of the conspiracy.

DePaul did get screwed on a call, but terrible execution in the final minute is what really killed them.
