Let’s Go Matt!

Georgetown with a 4 point lead at Butler with both McClung & Yurtseven not playing - 1 minute left in first half.

You forgot to mention Thompson and Smits is out for Butler. Making it sound like Georgetown was minus 2 vs. a full Butler roster. lol

True, Thompson is a big loss for Butler, but Smits is a sub who averages 10 mpg and McClung and Yurtseven are the two best players on a team already very shorthanded.

True Smits is a sub, I guess I'm just remembering him hitting big shot vs. us.

Georgetown is on their way to a big, road win without their best two remaining players.

Gotta give Ewing his props.

GT about to close out win on road v Butler. Have to respect job Patrick has done under tough circumstances.

Oh I am giving Ewing his props, but still when you mentions players are out for one team, you should include players that are out for the other. Not taking away anything from Ewing.

Does the unknown factor throw their opponents off? I don't know what the answer can be.

I agree. You have to always speak of injuries both ways.

EDIT: Like Paultz, my initial response wasn't related to your post.

My comment has nothing to do with your’s, just related to the win.

Ok, You quoted my post, so I thought you were responding to me.

Agreed.....Ewing has done a really nice job.

This is also a tough loss for Butler. Their next two games are at Seton Hall and at Creighton.

Friars all over Seton Hall from the jump. Pirates have scored just 5 points in the first ten minutes. They are up by 20 at the Dunk.

Of the 5 teams that are probably going to go to the tournament from the big East. I could see all 5 getting picked off very early as in the first or second round.

But I could also see all of them going on a little run depending on the draw they get.

This should be one of the more interesting Tournaments in a long time.

One thing that's been consistent under Ed Cooley, is that Providence always plays well as an underdog, or when people are counting them out.

When everything appears to be lined up for them (like earlier this week) is when they usually play poorly.

I really like listening to Steve Lappas. I may have said it once before, but can't recall. He does a really, sound job as an analyst.
