With Gtown's already very thin bench, hard to see them overcoming this one tonight.

PC putting a real hurting on GT, up 31 at the half

Yeah, you kinda saw this coming without McClung and the already thin bench. It's also a tad easier to take and make certain shots when you're up big as well re: Providence.

Again, I’ve not been sold on Georgetown. I don’t think they’re that good and they really lack depth now. They will struggle. Pc has talent but have looked awful. Cooley is a good coach though and will reel them in.

Yup Dink, inevitable.

I’m sure I’ll regret saying this, but I’m excited to play Georgetown. Our guards will make the game a living hell for McClung and the rest of their roster doesn’t scare me much. Feel like we might be able to sweep them this year

Frankly I agree & their home arena is not an intimidating one. Their margin of error is very small too obviously.

McClung worries me, along with the big guy, Omar. McClung can get hot from three, and we struggle with shooters.

That being said, they only have 7 guys. We can wear them down.

Each of the last 10 meetings between @MarquetteMBB and @BluejayMBB have been decided by 8 points or less. A staggering stat - Golden Eagles have won in Omaha 4 straight yrs, just the second team to beat Creighton 4 straight seasons at CHI Health Center Omaha (Southern Illinois)

Will Wade on the mop up...

probably already had the initial draft of the waiver request typed up.

I think creighton will be our toughest matchup in the BE. I dont know how we are going to be able to keep up with their 3 point shooting. They have snipers everywhere. Id rather play villonova then these guys.

If you solidly defend Markus Howard, then Marquette will have some issues. Howard will find a way to score points as he can shoot and a volume shooter as well. But I see a team who may have problems in conference play. I don't think they'll defend well enough to compensate.

Gotta push Creighton off the 3-point line. Minimize dribble-penetration and get on your horse on their secondary break. We bring it defensively, so we'll give ourselves a fighting chance on most game days.

Wow. If Marquette doesn't play better defense than this, Woj may find himself on the hot seat. Beyond the overall lateness, they just don't get back. Of course, this is just one game.

Marquette to me is a one trick pony depending on Howard too much. As good as he is, losing Hausers was huge on scoring and size fronts. M’Q has struggled with physical teams in past & now more so.
