Around the Big East 19/20

Concussion risk from heading in soccer starting to be identified.
And, in today's world, these soccer leagues start as early as age 3
Very scary!!!
Maybe kids need to wear helmets to cushion the blow when they head the ball
A couple of years ago, the big league on Long Island (Travel and in-club) has banned heading in leagues under 12.

My son got one from playing around in the backyard heading the ball and my daughter received one that was initially went undiagnosed in practice while in college.

Per Rothstein

Overall BE non-conference record is 101-25
9 teams received votes in this week's Top 25 poll
He says the Big East is the best league in the country
Top to bottom, I agree - no gimmies in this conference

That deserves a “The Big East is Back!” SI headline....With CMA on the cover.

Eagerly looking for the start of conference play. I think nova is still the team to beat and the field will jockey for second place. I base this on nova beating Kansas while only hitting nine of forty threes.
Should be interesting.

That sounds like the way we have been shooting and still winning...;-)

Expect Powell to play. He seems like the type of kid who would play on crutches if he could; the anti-Lovett. And slimy Kevin Willard has a lot riding on this year, perhaps parlaying a good Hall run in March into a big contract elsewhere at a Power 5 football school with a solid hoops footprint. So you know the guy who had no issue turning his program over to the likes of Tiny freaking Morton and Oliver Antigua will be in this kids ear to get out there.

A decision will be made about Myles Powell's availability for tonight's game against DePaul after Seton Hall's walk through, per Kevin Willard. The Pirates are headed to walk through now
Xavier will struggle with their lack of point guard play. It hasn’t improved at all from the early part of the season. If they can’t slow you down or turn you over, I don’t see how they will score enough to win much in the BE this year.

Seen a few missed bunnies and layups in the game.
Maybe it seems like sju misses the most because i want them to win so damn bad and it sticks with me more.
I'll try to relax and not complain about that tomorrow.

So now we get Xavier after their loss tonight. Will be tough in Cincinnati. Need to get tomorrow night's game.

I think win or lose tonight doesn't make much difference. Sunday is their first conf home game, they'd be pumped either way.

Great road win for Hall.

Powell was most of the offense but unsung hero for game was Romero Gill. 4 blocks and overall solid game.

Agreed. Gill better than I thought he could be. Sloppy game, though. Nice win for SH. I'd gladly take one like that tomorrow night.

Seton Hall defense keeps them in games and have to respect that. DePaul was horrible down stretch, but holding them to 10 points in last 10 minutes is still impressive.

What Powell did was great putting the team on his back for a road win. This is what I was expecting Heron, buy it has not happened and doesn’t look like it will hope I’m wrong And he shows NBA scouts that he can play better
