Around the Big East 19/20

DePaul wins it with Reed blocking the Minnesotta 3 to tie at game end..
I think they are not just lucky...they are raw but good and will get better.
They have beaten 3 power conference teams on the road already.

Providence blows big lead again & leads Charleston at half by two. That new point guard Pipkins is a ball hog & could be part of PC struggling this year so far.

To this point, Providence has been the least impressive Big East team, ourselves included. Don't know what that will mean going forward, but that's how it looks so far.

DePaul the most impressive, followed by probably Seton Hall, even with 2 losses. I haven't seen much of Butler.

Full Battle of Atlantis field next year: Creighton, Duke, Memphis, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Utah, West Virginia and Wichita State.

Providence is not gigantic like Seton Hall but they have big, athletic, physically mature players at every position. They will be a problem for us matchups -probably moreso than SH because they are more athletic throughout. But we have definitely executed better than Providence has so far.

How can two teams from same conference participate in same exempt tourney in same year? Wichita St and Memphis both from AAC last time I checked no?

This stuff is sometimes done as much as 3 years in advance.

I'm sure they will put them on opposite sides of the bracket, to try and avoid a matchup.

I'm more surprised by the fact that Conference USA will not have a team in that tournament, next year. They usually have a team in that field every year, since they helped in the creation of the tournament. The MAAC did the same thing WRT the Disney World Tournament.

Providence is in serious trouble against College of Charleston. They are down by 11, with a little over 8 minutes left

I understand and a few years ago this happened because of all the conference realignment so teams not initially in the same conference got in same Tourney. That was unavoidable. But Memphis and Wichita St have been in AAC for a few years now.

Duke'll win it, Stephen F Austin's not in the field.:)
Pitino Jr will be searching for apartment in Greece after this season.
In a classic case of reverse nepotism Sr. takes over Minny, and just to bring it full circle, Jr. takes over the Greek team and moves into Sr.s digs in Athens. You read it here first! B) ;)

Maybe it's the Elijah Craig Small Batch that I just had with the pecan pie, who knows?

DePaul is a good team. Charlie Moore may wind up being 1st Team All Big East. Kid is very, very good.

Seton Hall bounces back nicely after the bad loss.

Providence is hurting the conference right now, but Cooley will put it together.

David Duke had a great game. Rest of team didn't show up.The guard from Charleston lit them up all game. Played in an almost empty arena in Anaheim. Attendance reported was 1,158.

It's bad enough with the last name Duke but to name him David ?
