Man I just saw maybe the worst call this year.  46-46 in the Iowa/Rutgers game and Ron Harper Jr was 30 feet from the basket dribbling with 2 seconds left and they called basically a small hand check on Iowa.  Giving Harper 2 free throws.

And I mean if you look at the replay there was nothing.  Robbie Hummel B10 Network was like, "I just don't see how you blow the whistle there." I mean I can't believe Fran McCaffery didn't lose it after that.
Absolutely F'in horrible call! Cost me a bet too.

Steve Forbes, former Tennessee State coach, quietly doing a nice job in his second year at Wake Forest.

Anyone watching the Purdue Indiana game? There was just a flagrant 1 called on Ivey. It was a blatant cheap push away from the ball. Just found it funny, in the same gym Mathis got ejected for a far far less aggressive play. Don’t want to kick one of the best guards in the country out early in a big game. Sorry Montez.

Watching the last.few minutes of Indiana - Purdue; helluva game. That would have been a great win if we could have beat Indiana. They are a real solid team.

And I wasn't sure if Woodson could transition successfully to IU.  I guess he did just fine.

Arizona State's Bobby Hurley has been fined $20,000 and is suspended for Monday's game at USC for verbally confronting an official following Saturday's game at Stanford, per release.

Jay Heath is also suspended for Monday's game.

Bobby Hurley’s implosion this week and one game suspension really is steeped in his record to date and inability to get the program on track consistently. The Sun Devils are 6-10, 2-4 in the Pac-12. I once thought BH would make a good head coach, but he really is a lunatic. Funny, his  brother Danny is now the calmer of the two. Not sure where his contract stands, but he seems potentially on way out at ASU. The way he flirted with SJU to leverage his contract makes me quite ok with his demise.

Yeah I think SJU got the better end of that deal for sure.

I completely agree.  I went to see the Johnnies-ASU game a few years back at the Staples Center in LA when I was out there visiting family.  I think it was Mullin's third year.  We lost, but it was a good game.  What struck me was what an exciting brand of basketball ASU played.  Lots of ball movement, sharing the ball, pushing it up the floor.  I enjoyed watching them, and thought Hurley was going to do really well.  It didn't exactly work out that way...

The fact that he didnt get the duke job is telling.

Telling of what?  Even if he acted like a choir boy he was not getting the Duke job.

Odds Bobby Hurley will be mentioned in relation to any St. John’s opening within the next 15 years gotta be pretty good right?.
He’ll probably take the St. Peter’s job when Holloway jumps, make the tourney in year 4 and some major will give him another chance.

If he gets axed, no sympathy here for this obnoxious creep

Sources: men’s basketball coach Chris Mack’s future at Louisville is being discussed by school leadership and could result in a change, but nothing has been finalized as of now. Trustees and Athletics board meeting tomorrow. Mack radio show tonight canceled.

Only in America, 12M lol

Louisville is engaged in discussions to separate with coach Chris Mack, sources told me & @PeteThamel. $12 million buyout part of discussions. Board meeting set for Wednesday. Nothing done; expectation is Mack has coached his final game with the Cardinals

Mack's teams at X were a modern-era version of the old time Georgetown thugs.  Seemingly a requirement in that neck of the woods (esp vs Cincy) but didn't translate to Louisville which is looking more for racehorses than brawlers, or the ACC in general I suppose.

In the right spot I'm pretty sure Mack will rise again.  If DePaul hadn't hired Stubblefield that might have been a spot for him.

Man that is two top 15 jobs that will be open before season end-Maryland and Louisville.

Just think about how much money Louisville has. They paid Pitino a large chunk as settlement,  then paid Xavier buyout for Mack and now are buying Mack out and presumably be looking at a top tier coach.  And they do it without a blinking an eye

Crazy to think Mack had Louisville as the number 1 team in the country a few years ago. Not feeling bad for him, 11 million to go home sounds like a pretty nice deck of Cards to be dealt, but the tourney cancellation did him no favors. Just like Turgeon.

Did I miss Mack doing something gross, or they just aren't happy with his record?

Apparently Pearl really wants the Louisville job, which I guess says a lot because he has Auburn at No. 1 in most of the rankings I've seen.
