Maryland is parting ways with Mark Turgeon, school announced.

I watch their games as my son is a Freshman there. Offense is horrendous. They were likely to buy him out at the end of the season. Manning is a decent offensive coach so maybe it will help. Plenty of Under Armour money to hire a new coach.

taking it a step further, Holloway mentioned as a successor to Willard if he goes…

Also saw Ed Cooley mentioned somewhere and two shady characters if they want to go in that direction in Bruce Pearl and Sean Miller. Some would argue Willard is shady as well but don't think he can compete with Pearl and Miller in that area.

Give him a chance when he gets to a school with deep pockets and watch what happens.

He's proven over and over again that he can coach, but the job seems bigger than him. But I guess if for no other reason, he should leave to break that narrative. (Unless of course I'm the only guy with this narrative.)

Big difference between being shady and flat-out cheating, though.

There will be a long list of really good names, because you can definitely win a national championship there.

Houston just beat Bryant 111-44. That’s how you are supposed to play against the NJIT type teams.

Amazing that Houston did not feel Bryant was beneath them and felt like playing a full 40 minutes regardless of the opponent or expected outcome.

I understand your point, but I am not a fan of beating a team by 60+ points.

Winning by 30 for example, proves you were taking the opponent seriously, but didn’t want to embarrass then into oblivion.

My daughter goes to Elon U.

She went to the game tonight vs. High Point.  She's a long time SJU basketball fan and texted me that David Caraher was not on the bench.

I looked up his stats and he only playedc1 game for HPU.  Wonder if he's hurt or not w/ team any longer.

#20 florida down 24-20 at home to 0-7 texas southern (although they played a tough schedule). Wonder how their message board is doing.

Florida down 35-25 at the half now.  Just read their in game thread.  I see a couple we suck and fire coach.  But i give redmen.com props.  Much more active site.

Ouch. Florida loses
What an improbable result-Texas St. 0-7 beats Florida 6-1 ranked #20 on the road by 15 after leading by at least 20 in final few minutes.
