Around College Basketball

In the early games,, ACC challenging the overrated big10, except for Purdue which may be a deep tournament team. No energy at Pitt for its almost upset of Minnesota though.

Ohio State beats Duke 71-66.  Former SJU recruit Zed Key finishes with game high 20 pts.

Wow ain’t karma a bitch. I would think his seat is on fire at present, never mind being warm.
to only score 29 points, that is just absurd for a major college program, completely unheard of, and certainly not the type of Bball that fans want to watch. They are on a 5 game loosing streak and I just wonder if Hurley has lost the confidence and attention off the team.

They scored 10 points in the first half! Wow! This has to be approaching some record for futility. Embarrassing either way. I know many wanted him here, and we cant assume it would have worked out the same, but looks like a bullet may have been dodged.

Reminds me of a game at the garden vs Duke when I was in high school. Think it was 44-14 at the half. And to add insult to injury me and my dad missed our stop on the way home

Strategy might work. Then again, he may also lose the team completely and Cleveland is getting ready to fire off his résumé.

Thought this was a typo or maybe my cataract, but 29 points? Sorry I didn't get to see that one. Think Bobby's next job might be with the Washington Generals -- although even they shoot better than 21 percent.

Indiana a 2.5 point favorite over Syracuse tonight.     Would love to see a big Hoosier win especially since it will help us the more wins they get plus of course its Syracuse and they can lose every game as far as I am concerned.

It's funny, I have a friend who went to Syracuse, and he was just complaining that Syracuse is turning into BC in terms of relevance in sports since joining the ACC.
If you recall, Boeheim hated the idea of leaving the Big East.   The rivalries were so so intense and brought so much regional interest.    Uconn was in no man's land before returning to the Big East.   Of course, they coveted the Big Ten nod that Rutgers got and would have jumped if the ACC called.    It's hard not to jump at the money.   If you remember, Villanova was all set to upgrade their football stadium capacity and program when the Big East dissolved.   I guess the sports gods rewarded that effort with two national championships.
