With Nunge playing the way he is and with Fremantle back, Xavier might be the best team in the conference.

I, too, think that Xavier looks like the best conference team thus far. They do a great job of recruiting transfers, as does Creighton.

Monmouth is up big in the first half against Pitt.

Pitt is painful to watch.  They went 16 minutes without a FG.

The Pitt game may be the biggest game of the season.  It's an absolute must win.  I don't see them finishing with a NET above 250.  It would be a horrible Q4 loss.

Pitt = Quad 5
Haha, they look like it, Monmouth is having their way with them.   I just really hope Johnnies don't come out underestimate Pitt on Saturday and start off slow. Players dream of playing in Madison Square Garden, so Pitt players are going to come in playing with nothing to lose and everything to gain... trying to get a signature win, they are going to give their best shot.  Like I said, it's a must win, that loss would take at least couple Q1 wins to erase.

The Jeff Capel tenure at Pitt looks to be close to ending .   He’s not done much with a Program that was always in the BE mix .   All the former BE teams are struggling in the ACC , including ND . They are a complete non factor , even with Brey still the Coach .   Their defections were all based on Football money . Decisions made by their School’s Presidents . All for $$$.

I think we come out fired up because of MSG.
Champagnie was recruited by Pitt and he ain't gonna wanna hear Justin in his ear about losing to them either. Champ goes off in MSG for 30 plus IMO and Posh is going to do Posh things and Wusu gonna Wusu (take charges, run the offense, guard bigs in the post, bring the ball up the court, inbound the basketball, etc., etc.)

We win this one easily unless we come out cold and Pitt comes out on fire and sustains it for 40 minutes. I don't see that happening but hey, anything is possible.

PAC 12 very top heavy, but they do have 3 teams in the top 10 this week (UCLA, USC & Arizona).

=====

UAlbany wins it.  UAlbany downed Boston College.

Remember when BC had great mens basketball teams  ....   Remember when Pitts had great mens basketball teams ...... Guess what happened .... then they joined the Carolina centric ACC and lost their Northeast identity.

Anecdotal at best… the transition has not impacted the Orange at all!

Some random tourney runs that all of us would take but surely you don’t think Syracuse is the same program they were ten years ago?

I know quite a few Orange fans and they are miserable with the current state of that program. Compared to SJU they have had success since they left the BE. Compared to what they accomplished in the BE, not even close. They have not been in the Top 25 in five or six years.
