Angel Delgado, PF (SETON HALL VERBAL)

Funny thing is with regards to Delgado nobody had a clue who he was 4 months ago.

Fickle world if recruiting;

yes, AAU Coach

Lets recap a bit.

As of right now we are losing Sanchez, Gift and Marco. Marco is throw away and with a lot of good guards no issues there. Obviously we are going to need definitely 1 and most likely 2 big men. Yes its POSSIBLE we lose Karr. Its also POSSIBLE we lose Obekpa. But in the same breath a recruit sees them and might want no part of competing with possible 2 yr starters.

So again while we have 3 ships to use. In reality we are replacing 1-2 players and the focus is frontcourt. For all the players we have gotten we have gotten them without really playing that well under Lavin. Win and it won't be issue. Like someone on the other board and me were discussion look at Miami. No recruiting under Laranagga but after spending the year at Top of polls look at 2014 class come together.

Agree with what u are saying and hopefully a great year will cure all recruiting ills. I just hope that there are a few top kids left at that point from the 2014 class. And with the loss of Gift and Sanchez, there are no other power front court players on the roster so the need to bring one in this year is imperative.

No other frontcourt players? I count 3 in Obekpa, Karr and Jones. Add 1 and god forbid 2 and every moves onto early start times to complain about :)

Key word Moose "POWER" front court players, of which Jones could be but has yet to prove as such.

I wish I had your level of optimism. If we fail to land a 4 star front court player for 2014. Do you think Lavin will save those scholarships for 2015 or do you think he will target less talented prospects?

It doesn't have to be a 4-star player. It could be a 3-star kid. If the player has a plenty of potential and a high-ceiling, then I'm fine with it.

He's not gonna reach for a player just to give out a scholarship. There is going to be a method to the reason a scholarship was given.

I am hoping that you can respond to my post without some sort of attack. In terms of getting a three star recruit. Three star recruits with great upsides are great to have on a team. However, they usually need a bit of developing to reach that potential and not get thrown to the wolves right away. With the potential loss of Sampson and Sanchez in the same year, that three star kid will have to perform almost imediately and that usually does not pan out well. Case in point, Christian Jones. He was a three star kid with loads of potential (as stated by coach himself) but was certainly not ready for prime time play. That's why a good program must reload on a regular basis, with top flight kids, to stay at a competitive level with the big boys.

I only attack (your cop out word) when you spout off garbage.

I don't mind a 3-star kid having to play, as long as he is generally the 4th or 5th option on the floor. Not to mention, there are some 4 and 5-star kids who need developing. You look for 3-star kids who has the potential to get better, and who possesses a high-ceiling.

We've garnered commitments from top flight kids. Your point?

My point is that if we reload with three star recruits, and certain players leave, they won't be a 4th or 5th option, they will be force fed to log in more minutes then they should have to and that spells trouble.

I've always wondered if got a kick out of being a nuisance or you're just a silly individual, real fan.

Who said we're gonna load up with 3-star kids?

Just responding to your foolish statements that's all.

Can you two just steer clear of each other?

It's all good, Moose.

He's a coward (with his multiple handles), who ducked and dodged posters at the Sly Foxx, that shouldn't even be posting here.

Can you two just steer clear of each other?

If you were to read through this thread, you may note that I have remained civil and have kept to the topic. In one of my posts I even asked Mr.Dinkins to try to respond without an attack. Of course he was not capeable of doing so with his infantile mindset. I have been called everything from Real Fan to Illwill etc, which is rather comical but I have gone along with it to keep the peace.

While I may have had different thoughts on topics, I refrain from attacking anyone. But, being called a coward is a bit over the line. Why is this allowed to continue? You are a moderator as are others. I have a friends on this site that tell me that certain posters are given Carte Blanche to say whatever thy want to whoever they want without fear of being chastised. If that is the case, please advise and I shall cease posting anything as I dont need the aggravation.

I would appreciate some sort of communication from you or any other mod to advise me of how such a situation will be delt with. It will take some doing but I will refrain from responding to Mr. Dinkin's nasty posts as being called a coward is not something I take well from anyone.

Thanks in advance.

I just asked BOTH of you, not you specifically if you could steer clear of each other. You two are both obviously oil and vinegar. I checked my moderator manual and I didnt think it warranted any further action than a simple civil question/request that I gave :)

If other mods feel differently that is their call. The request *is for both of you to not even bother to respond to each other because it will just spiral into attacks and a pissing match.

Thanks!

*Also please take any further discussion regarding the back and forth to PM's. Lets keep this thread about Delgado if at all possible.

Moose, the guy is a fabricating, strawman-building, victim-playing fraud. There are many posts that can prove such (under his other pseudonyms). I'm awaiting his other screenname to shortly appear. Let it go, dude.

By the way, a typical realfan tactic is to claim someone told him about others on the site.

So calling someone a fraud and a coward, among other things is OK in the mods manual? That seems to go against the site rules does it not?

Moderators are not paid, do a good job and don't have to adjudicate this nonsense to the end of time. Move on!

Being banned multiple times previously and then coming back and creating new multiple accounts is against the rules but no one is doing anything about that....Especially when that previously banned poster is only here to be a crap stirrer
