Angel Delgado, PF (SETON HALL VERBAL)

Being banned multiple times previously and then coming back and creating new multiple accounts is against the rules but no one is doing anything about that....Especially when that previously banned poster is only here to be a crap stirrer

For the record, I have never been banned, and don't have multiple screen names. I'm sure if the Mods thought that to be true I would have been gone a while ago. That was created by the vivid imagination of one particular poster. Any time something is stated here by any poster who does not conform to a constant rah rah stance , he is labeled Realfan. Give it a rest already will ya. And now back to the topic.......

So calling someone a fraud and a coward, among other things is OK in the mods manual? That seems to go against the site rules does it not?

Keep the threads on topic and knock off the victim nonsense and the passive aggressive attacks on the moderators, period.

What????

@EvanDanielsFOX: Angel Delgado just verbally committed to Kevin Willard and Seton Hall. He confirmed the news from the Dominican Republic.

He can put up huge rebounding numbers with all their missed shots.

Seriously though I was hoping we might snag this kid but I'm happy he went to a fellow big east team that could use more good news recruiting

So here is a kid who would have gotten immediate playing ( starting ) time with the graduation of Sanchez, and wanted to stay local and we couldn't get him over Seton Hall? Still think there is no cause for concern? Ouch

Delgado, Larrier, and player to be named later sounded awesome to me a couple months ago. Sucks, but good for Seton Hall. I certainly like them better than Providence.

We didn't offer. We had mild interest. Still shocked he chose Seton Hall though.

Don't get the mild interest. He had rave reviews at all of the camps and regularly outplayed bigger named opponents.

Doesn't change the fact that he's a 6'6" PF with limited offensive game. He sounds like an effort machine, ergo the rebound stats. Staff must not have thought it would translate to the next level or lost track chasing the bigger fish that they though would be more impactful. It'll be interesting to see how he does and if he succeeds I think we're all glad it'll be in the BE.

Now that's he's grown to 6'9" we can all feel even worse about it.

PS my son grew 8 inches the past two years so I can believe it.

Then why the knocks on Christian Jones seeing that Delgado would be exactly what Jones is not?

I'm not knocking delgado, just saying why his summer production might not have caught the eye of the staff as much as some would have liked. I'd prefer Delgado's skill set in Jones' body though that later post indicated he might be growing into Jones' body.

It's not that I don't like Jones by the way but his rebounding stats were pitiful. Look at it his way, here's the rebounds per minute stats of the bigs last year:

Obekpa - .24
Amir and Jakarr - .21
Dom - .20
Christian - .13

It's a big hole in his game, be it due to effort or not wanting to really be a big. Who knows. But he was a frosh, I'm sure he'll improve. Just needs to know he ain't playing SF so he needs to learn and mix it up with the big fellas.

PS I want every F/C to be a mix of Malik Sealy and Jayson Williams with a touch of Ron Artest! That's all I want. ;)

I think this was a miss by St. John's. All indications are that he will be as good a player as Sanchez in the Big East.

Here is a tweet from one of our board favorites that nobody is really talking about.

Lets remember that Delgado was ticketed to an Atlanta school for his SR year this spring but then changed for Huntington during the summer.

What the hell are you talking about? Did you just make that up to troll the board? "All indications are that he will be as good a player as Sanchez in the Big East."???? Exactly what indications are those?

Thanks for the laugh!
