2nd DePaul Game

Pressure them just like we did against creighton. Chatman and Brooks are as quick as any backcourt in the BE. Look what we did to them. That is the way we were playing in the pre season and that's the way the team needs to play now. If we get tired we get tired, but to not to play full court d with this team is suicide. Can't get a birdie if you come up 2 feet short.

i agree with this - when we played them in their building, we were very successful pressuring them - they got out of rhythm and looked very very spotty getting the ball up the court.

Additionally, I would start Amar - not only because he had a better game than Felix on Saturday, but he has actually been okay in my opinion this year in the limited role he has played - and we also have to bring more size into this game. I am not a fan of the small line up like we started the Creighton game with. We may have gotten away with it at home against the worst team in the league whose bigs arent really big time threats in the paint, but long term that will not work - and as a lot of teams have found out the hard way this season already, us included, DePaul is very dangerous and very capable of winning, so i wouldnt tinker with the lineup here.

It's already been stated that Felix is starting

well hopefully he wont shoot the ball ten times and play 23 minutes like creighton

@NYPost_Brazille: Steve Lavin said Felix Balamou will continue to start, has been impressed by junior's all-around game. #sjubb

Really hope it doesn't come back to bite him in the ass, and they're down 6-7 at the 16min mark

And if Lavin has to burn a TO early to get Obekpa in there it will take away from the TO's he likes to use after we score baskets.

Billy Garrett Jr. worries me;

I hope we can keep him off the foul line and that we beat DePaul this time around.

I know they are having a better season than they usually have, but hey, if we think we are any good, we can't go 0-2 against a perennial bottom dweller, with limited talent and a terrible coach.

My DeP friends have wanted OP, and for that matter, their AD gone, for a long time now.

Let's at least split the season series with the "other" Vincentian school. Another proud Catholic big city school with an illustrious basketball past that has fallen on hard times. Probably, in many ways, orse than us.

Chris Obekpa is a game-time decision #sjubb says

Needless to say, this is a huge game.

If we lose, we are done. If we win, we could lose @ Xavier and actually still have hope. This is what you call a swing game.

Gotta split @ Xavier and Geoegetown at the very least

This is the actual hat that is being given away

the hat would be nice if it didn't have that pom pom on top

The pom pom is back! Ill buy it off of you mj

I'd give it to you if I was going but I'll be watching on tv. As all the section 114 crew can verify I make my entrance at tipoff or slightly after so I'd never be anywhere in time for giveaways :)

Here's the reality. At 4-6, if you look at Villanova away, that game is fair to mark down as a loss. When you do that, we'd have to go 6-1 in remaining games to even have a prayer at an at large bid. 21-10, 10-8 is not a lock to get in, especially when you consider that 10-8 in conference is no better than a 4-5th place finish.
