DePaul thoughts:http://www.bigeastboards.com
You're slipping. Your ending sounded almost human.
You get to the end of his diatribes or you just skip the beginning?
Read them straight through. I'm a glutton for perverse esoterica.

It could be a nervous grin and not intentened to be hurtful
Watch it if its on DVR. It's a big celebratory smile, like he's about to high five Harrison. If anything, a ref sees that and is likely going to take that as disrespectful. It's the same big smile when a foul gets called on him. My take on it is that it's deliberately disrespectful of the ref's authority, and also oblivious to game situations. After the elbow that frankly cost us any chance of beating Butler, Obekpa's post game bravado was anything but apologetic - something on the order of "I'm glad I took the hit. The guy deserved it."
It seems most of us excuse anything during a win, and turn on everyone once we lose.
But everyone is entitled to opinions as you are to yours.
There's a difference between smiling and elbowing a dude in the back of the head, beast.
I guarantee you if we had won, and the hit went unnoticed or maybe did knock the guy down, a fair number of posters would compare it to old-time Knicks rough and tumble basketball, which is in part true. Losing makes us scrutinize every little detail; winning makes us forgive everything. A taskmaster like Bobby Knight might have gotten into his face and said "What the hell are you laughing about? The T could cost us the game".
I just watched it on DVR and think you are being a tad ridiculous. He was patting DLos chest trying to comfort him and smiling. Nothing there.
his diatribes
According to the NY Post's article, Harrison got a "T" for shooting the ball after the whistle. I never heard that call before. "It looked as if Harrison had blown the game open early in the second half, his back-to-back 3-pointers capping a 13-2 run. But DePaul (12-14, 6-7) answered with an 18-5 spurt that included a questionable technical foul on Harrison for shooting after the whistle."
I never heard that call before. The rule makes sense. You don't want guys taking extra shooting practice while everyone is standing around waiting for their shot. Isn't it standard practice for players to get the shot off after the whistle so maybe the continuation counts? Viewing Harrison's shot on TV, it did not appear late or in anyway disruptive to the flow of the game. Weird call. Maybe a make-up for something else?
I really liked the resilience of the team. It looked like we could have lost hold of the win a number of times, but the kids gritted it out.
For those at home, the announcers took Sheed to task for not passing the ball to Dom on be break. They said you need to put your agendas away and do what it takes to win. Other than the terrible shot he took (it looked like he was hoping for a foul) I thought he played pretty well. He aggressive and got to the line a lot.
That game from Harrison will be remember for a long time. He deserved to be mentioned with all our time greats. I enjoy rooting for the kid.

I have to agree with Gottlieb. Jordan needed to alley oop a pass to Pointer, the play was right in
front of him. In fact it was obvious that the DePaul player was overplaying on Rysheed's side. Bad decision, definitely made him look totally selfish.

It should have been delay of the game call not a technical, can't believe taking a shot after the foul call leads to a technical. Have never ever seen that.

This wasnt a wide open pass, its a full speed alley oop, a play we have messed up about as often as we have succeeded at. Sheed took it to the whole and got fouled. I think it is being so blown out of proportion. Sheed had a number of very nice passes in the second half.
Totally agree, Pointer was not wide open. You take it to the basket whenever possible.

Disagree. Watched replay and as Jordan was approaching from the left Pointer was already waiting by the basket. And the DePaul player stepped toward Rysheed allowing a pass, alley oop or a bounce pass. That's my opinion anyway.

Guys, get over it; it's done, long gone. Whatever choice Sheed made, it wasn't malicious. If it was bad judgment, so be it ... but let's move on and stop looking for ridiculous, unfounded ulterior motives.

Ulterior motives? I watch him closely and don't find him to be a team player. Specifically I don't think he gives it close to100% when he has the ball he is focused on scoring and nothing else, many times it is predetermined that he is going to shoot regardless of the situation. On defense and hustling back on defense after his turnovers he hardly puts in any effort. I don't know what his motives are but these are my observations
