Not sure what I said that wasn’t calm. If you’re really saying ‘stop disagreeing with my stance’, that’s fine, please feel free to skip my posts.

Other coaches are in/have been in the exact situation as Rick. One of them in our own league. Rick choose scorched earth, Ed didn’t. Ed’s rebuilt is going much more smoothly.

RP will have a chance to prove he is worth the massive amount St John’s gave him and win a bunch of games, but he’s going to have to overcome stumbling out of the gate.

Tell me other than Soriano who on this team are you confident will lead us to the upper half of the big east?

Other than Storr who on last years roster was going to take us to the upper 1/2 of the Big East?

How many games has Cooley won at Georgetown? Cooley has lost a bunch of players since his arrival at Georgetown as well.

Until both teams complete their respective rosters AND take the court then we have no true way to prove Cooley's "rebuilt" has gone more smoothly.

Coach Pitino, in interviews from awhile ago, has talked about the microwave effect and how players want instant gratification. Play right away, leave for the league right away. No plan, no loyalty, don’t really want to work hard and learn and be coached. Certainly not everybody, but you get the point. He wants to teach the game.

Coach Izzo did a great interview in the Athletic. I believe he has taken no players from the portal and lost very few if any. He said he hates the way the system is basically creating even more of a transaction with players short term. He wants kids who stick to the work, are loyal to the school and want to be coached. I hope that’s what we’re building here. Lots of fans want instant gratification too, such that they’ve judged and decided what will be before the team gets on the floor. We have no super one and doners yet, but we have what looks like excellent team chemistry and experience.

Agree. Gtown was getting 4 and 5 star kids under Ewing. Cooley isnt starting in the basement like pitino is.

Wow that one is a complete loss. 4 games played average no points. Lost all faith now first pinzon, then cuerbelo, now THIS. Parker williams was an excellent bench warmer who i heard handed out towels very well. Not to disrespect the walk on, but this is the first i have ever heard his name. I guess we are going to be getting better walks on too lol

Um first part of that was a joke and then i said not to disrespect but never heard of him before. lighten up a little :) Yes we all know walk on's contribute much behind the scenes but if he opted into the portal he knows rick might be bringing in his own walk ons.

Got it. Just never understood why someone would say something disrespectful, especially to someone that they don’t know, then say they don’t want to disrespect said person.
