2023-24 Roster

I’ve never seen a poster constantly tear down a former player who has was Big East Rookie of the Year and Big East Defensive Player of the Year.
Hes not half the player he was 2 years ago. What does winning awards from 2 years ago mean today? Answer - nothing.

Every aspect of his game is worse then it was freshman year. He has not improved one bit on any basketball skill.

He cant shoot, he doesnt listen to a thing coach says in the huddle, hes not a leader, has disciplinary issues, he short, hes sloppy with the ball. The list goes on and on. He can and will be upgraded over very easily.

I call it like it is guys. Sorry if that bothers you.

A new broom sweeps clean.
Don't argue with success.
There should be no debates here.
We have a coach who should be king and
"The king can do no wrong.'
Count your lucky stars, you peasants and
sit back , relax, be patient and watch great
happenings come into play.
This is the true mindset and it's
much healthier also.
DR. NAISMITH,

Have you not read anything? seriously? Lets see cuerbeo pinzon suspended, posh was suspended, and i dont recall the 4th. Lets see reports that this team had issues off the court as per Father. Let's see rick kept van macon who knew everything that happened. Also for the record posh and storr were invited to say they opted to leave. This same team that couldnt even make the NIT? yeah lets keep that team intact shall we, cause we want all those problems last year. Love all these new members coming out of the wood works now
I think most assumed Clayton and Ledlum were reasonable gets. Neither is a superstar but with Soriano would have formed a strong nucleus with the outside chance of Dual.
Getting those 2 would have justified blowing up the roster to most. Having whiffed on those 2……

The names being thrown out there now do not seem better than what we lost. Iona’s 3 rd and 4th best player and a kid that averaged 6???

Maybe all the kids were unredeemable and Pitino is a great coach but on paper….

If you are going to call it "like it is" call everything.

There was a least a modicum of an offensive set up with Champagnie here in 2021-22. This past season there was absolutely nothing that resembled anything more than playground ball most of the time. You are correct that every stat of Posh's was lower or higher (both meaning worse) than in previous years. However, as a team every stat except for FG% (.4% increase) and 3p% (.4% increase) were also worse. And if you take Storr out of the equation the 3p% would have dropped too.

Soriano grew and should be congratulated, but when I see only one person growing, not a team, I chalk that up to personal maturity and vision...as well as with JC getting drafted, led to more ball touches for Soriano. On the flip side, in this free-for-all minded offense, MA brought in more guards, which despite increased minutes meant less touches for Posh and which encouraged poor shot selection.

This whole team was poorly coached and disorganized. Poor management will carry over not only into games, but practices and daily life as well. So while you rail about Posh's stats last season and pshaw his accolades from two years ago, you do so while simultaneously ignoring the fact that his leadership failed him, doing a piss-poor job of leading him and fostering his growth and success. Saying he's not half the player he was two years ago, rather that is absolutely true or not, is not only a one-sided, cynical point of view, it fails to figure in the rest of circumstances surrounding this team.

Just calling it like I see it. I think Posh would flourish under RP, as would Wusu, Jones and Storr in my opinion...which of course we know what opinions are worth. I'd like to see them on this roster.

Joel, Wusu, Stanley all improved. No excuses for Posh.

I love what I see out of both Wusu and Stanley but with the exception of Stanley's FT% (which couldn't get much lower than the year before) and Wusu's assists (nice job), all of their stats improved consistent with the % increase each of them had in minutes per game.

Joel is the only true growth I didn't see related to playing time change.

Posh was never suspended.

According to you ‘he has not improved one bit.’ Yet somehow he is top 10 alltime in assists and steals in program history.

Do we still have our practice players: Jason Simpson and the other kid?

Or were they jettisoned too?
Asking the status of walk-ons at this point? Stop trolling.

Last season, point guard Posh Alexander didn’t start multiple games due to disciplinary reasons Sorry i remembered it wrong didnt start but wasnt suspended
Didn’t start 2 games. One was after missing two games due to injury. Your making an incorrect inference.

knight with all due respect im just stating what was stated in the new york post. my aologies i should of used quotation marks
NJ, My point is that report was inaccurate. There’s enough false and negative comments on this board from MullinsRevenge.

Main targets as of now and where they slot in if they commit:
Thomasson (slides into starting SG role)
Ledlum (Lock to start at PF)
Alleyne (Probably starting SF or first 2/3 off the bench)
Cormac Ryan (Starting SF)
Slazinski (Starting PF if no Ledlum, first 4 off the bench if Ledlum)
Dunlap (Mid bench piece)
Meyer (Probably slots in between Davis and Traore)

Since nobody wants to sit on the bench it's great that we have been able to fill these positions right away.
