2023-24 Roster

From Zach, Brandon G' s mom spins it:

Brandon Gardner's mom tells me: 'I'd like to stop the noise before it starts. NIL - it could never be over something my son is entitled to. Brandon Gardner was patient. He listened. He met with the coaching staff and respected everyone's vision during this process, and my son is the captain of his ship.

More:

"It's unfair to place any scrutiny on my son over NIL. My son wants to play at a school where he feels he can play, grow and build an exceptional IQ. Coach Pitino will build his own team. Whether he wanted my son or not is irrelevant. He's building his team, his way. It's important for my son to work off of his instincts and prayers/signs. If it was about NIL. Brandon wouldn't have committed to St. John's."
Just yesterday she said he is committed and loyal to at johe’s and now spins it against a hall of fa,e coach. Good riddance kid good luck to you .

No because all his kids on Iona were happy with him as a coach. He is going to run the program his way. He said this at his introduction. That you are either onboard or you are gone. It will work out there are over a thousand players in the portal. There are still quality kid in the 2023 class to recruit. He will get his fair share…
Moose is being facetious.

Anyone think Pitino has gotten a bit arrogant and out-of-touch and is turning kids off?
He has every right to be arrogant . Out of of touch? J he just won the Maac tournament and was beating the national champions at half time. Love she all these people,e come out of the wood works oh Anderson stinks we eant pitino. Now we have rp and all the sudden he is out of touch. Um Noo he’s not . He is Rick fNg pitino who knows this is his last stop and wants to go out a winner .

We have sucked for several decades. We get the best coach out there and now people are worried? The fact that everybody is worried makes me believe that this is the exact direction we should be going. Sju fans of the last few decades don’t know about winning in the least. We will rebuild.
Let’s be honest we have one player. I am not nervous. This is either going to be amazing or hysterical. Some of you are not convinced Pitino is some combination of Jesus Christ, John Wooden, John Wayne, Dirk Diggler, Michael Corleone Santa Claus and William Wallace.
None of those above guys would win any games with one player. But like I said either Rick pulling some crazy shite out of his arse or some on here are going to be catatonic by January.

Jesus had more people helping him carry the cross than we have players.

Sunday we need commits

Kid looks pretty damn good. How is he unranked? Pretty sure Pitino has great scouting sources all around the country but especially Kentucky. Kid looks solid.
Holy Cross is a small school (372 students), but his stats and highlights are great.
IF the visit is 'real' then I agree Pitino knows KY H.S. hoops cold, and he sure the heck doesn't have time to waste so let's here how this plays out.

We were 7-13 in Conference play this year (with 5 of those wins coming from DePaul GTown and Butler) and have been a 2nd division team for the better part of 3 decades.

We have not been to a Big East Tournament semifinal in 2 decades.

Our last game winning shot in an NCAA tournament game was from Lavor Postell, who is now 47 years old.

Anything short of Pitino taking a flamethrower to the whole program would have been malpractice on his part.

Amen. Drissa and Joel are lucky. I would have been ok with everyone of them sent packing.

I would slam the door shut, lock it, and never look back on this one.
