2022 Yankees

This team is hamstrung by the woeful offense. The only guy consistently good is Judge. The offense is the issue with this team, not the pitching. Defensive woes would not be an issue if this team could score 4 or 5 runs a game. The injured and beat up bullpen has looked bad because there is no semblance of an effective offense. Yeah, Cole should not have given up the homer to Otani, but score more runs and the Angels 3 runs is in the rearview mirror. I suspect more of the same will occur this weekend.

“Nite nite” sums up the hitters on this team and eventually the team itself!

Fire Cashman!
Fire Boone!
The former is not happening the latter possibly.

Nonetheless it is not happening before the end of the season(and firing the GM now does nothing to help you now).

Still have 30 or so games to go but could this collapse be worse than the 2004 collapse against the Red Sox???
And Boone has not one answer or solution to this debacle. The worst manager to have on a team taking a nosedive like this. This winter, besides the Judge decision, has to include getting rid of Torres, Hicks and Donaldson, to start. So many hopeless, empty, ineffective at bats, not even counting the pathetic at bats by Stanton. Will the kid, Schmidt, step up today, but more importantly, can this team put together enough solid at bats to score enough runs to win? I highly doubt it, especially against Kluber.

This collapse is tougher I believe because I am a fan every day of 162 game schedule. To go through the same crap nite after night is tougher than for a 3 nite collapse, as epic as that 2004 collapse really was. Nothing I see recently makes me optimistic about last 30 games.

But Boone is a solid bubble gum blower!
