I figured this was just St. John’s paranoia yankee fan anger but spoke to bunch of my non St. John’s friends who are yankee fans last night and I’ve never seen them so angry every one of them is beyond pissed and all want Boone gone plus bunch of players
if you guys had a choice of a new manager who would it be ? My friends didnt really have any top ideas last night they all just said anyone but Boone. They were kinda down on Cashman too but not nearly as much as BooneWe need our version of Steve Cohen to buy the team. Hal just doesn't care, and he's certainly not going to pay two people to do the same job, meaning, unless Cashman decides not to return when his contract expires next year, I expect him and Boone to be back next season, regardless of how the year ends.
The loss of Benintendi might be the final straw. He's been one of the few guys getting the job done lately, and he brings the speed element, which we don't have (not to mention, he's a lefty hitter - we don't have a lot of those, either).

Uninspiring. So hard to watchWe need our version of Steve Cohen to buy the team. Beltran would be intriguing but hell no to that jerk Bobby V. (Boston made that mistake and no thanks to having a guy who just wants to show how much smarter he is than everyone when he is not which is what Cashman has become) nor Ozzie.I like Boone, for the most part. Yes, he's a front man for the GM and owner, but that's the only way he could get/keep the job. No false pretenses, there.
I don't think a managerial change will be made, since Boone signed a four year contract in the offseason. The last person who was paid to not manage the Yankees was Stump Merrill, after he was fired in 1991. As ugly as the exits of Showalter, Torre, and Girardi might have been, they were all let go at the end of their contracts, so they weren't owed a penny.
If I had a pick at a new manager, I'm looking at three people: Ozzie, Bobby V., and Beltran. Mostly because I am through playing Mr. Nice Guy. In the case of the first two, I'm also intrigued by the fact that they have no prior history with the Yankees. Ideally, I want somebody from the outside, because I want to change the way things are done around here.
There has to be someone out there that has some experienceBeltran would be intriguing but hell no to that jerk Bobby V. (Boston made that mistake and no thanks to having a guy who just wants to show how much smarter he is than everyone when he is not which is what Cashman has become) nor Ozzie.
Great for him, but I hate Judge in the leadoff spot.game 133. boone is a jenious for batting $99 foist in the order. 53. 53. 53
3 and 0 count. headhunting.
I still would rather have Urshela than Donaldson, but trading him was part of the price of getting rid of Sanchez.Urshela's had a solid year with the Twins. .265 average, 22 doubles, 11 hrs and 53 rbis.
