Take the win. I was watching a DVR'd version of the game, so I had no idea Stanton tied the game, before my comment above. What is up with Judge? Looks like crap. Defense almost let them down again. Gallo let a ball hit the track, Donaldson again with a boot, and IKF again with a bad throw. 6 paltry hits, and 16 Ks. And now Castillo faces them tomorrow. Maybe Cortes reverts back to a solid starter instead of the struggler he's become. How much longer do we have to watch the POS Gallo?

the offense showed 7 runs. but the first 5 of those runs can be credited to poor reds defense.
and the game winning run to 2 wild pitches.
sevy looked bad from the first pitch, even the announcers spotted a below average sevy.
this is the 2nd game in a row that boone would not take out 2 poor pitchers - holmes/sevy.
yanks statistically have one of the best defenses in mlb but lately every yank miscue hurts.
weird stat. reds are #1 in road attendance. yanks are 15th.

Why the hell was Cortes not out there to start the 8th? He was at 89 pitches, pitching his best game in a month. Really stupid move by Boone. Votto dead all year, and Yanks give him life. Luetge must be able to get lefties out. Red Sux coming in having been swept by TB. Their only 2 recent wins were vs. the Yanks. A team like the Yanks that depend on homers to win will not win in the playoffs. Good pitching will shut them down. So enjoy the regular season and be prepared to be disappointed once again in the postseason. Boone thinks every pitcher throws the ball well. Even when they're getting lit up. Ridiculous. His reason for not bringing Cortes out for the 8th was BS.
