WTF? Of course he's out. And Boone will rest him another day in this series to "give him a day"! I see all the Red Sux starters are in there. Let's see if Cole pitches like an ace, or if he puts the Yankees in a 3-0 hole to start, giving up 2 homers. It's always something with this team. A chance to obliterate the Red Sux, and instead we'll probably light a fire under them. Ugh.

again the go ahead run was from joey walking.
joey is a terrible at a lot of things. add base runner to that list.

Love the effort and bullpen work, but geez, your ace can't be allowing them back in the game. Red Sux defense let them down. Duran really overmatched. Cole has to stop with these home run balls. Not a big Peralta fan, but he has been real good.
There have been a lot of great pitchers who gave up home runs. Catfish Hunter the most notable, and he pitched most of his career in Oakland, which does not have the reputation of a home run park.
Verlander gave up 36 homers when he won the Cy Young in 2019.
Schilling gave up 37 in helping Arizona to the World Series in 2001.
You can get away with it as a starter. Would like to see Cole knock it down a little bit (sounds like he's going to give Devers the Bonds treatment, when they meet again), but if he starts doing that, maybe he walks people. I don't want that from him.
Maybe I'd feel better if they were solo homers.

Friggin loss tonight. Twice had 2 run leads. Thought King should have been left in for one more batter. Just not a big Peralta fan. Can't wait until Loaziaga gets back. What was Rizzo doing getting caught at 3rd? Guess you can't win them all. Real chance to step on the Red Sux throats.
Multiple uncommon failures for 2022 season brought down Yanks yesterday as stated here previously. Hope it’s just one game. Nestor wasn’t Nasty! Rizzo stealing w Stanton up? Thought he could have left Holmes in a little longer too. Oh well, .718 ain’t bad.
