2022 Yankees

game 61. yanks draw first blood.
cole is king. king is king. holmes is one bad hombre.
yanks aided by crappy rays defense. rays 2nd in mlb in yielding unearned runs.
joey added to his resume with a stolen base.
strays held scoreless with 9 total bases.
ump had a very large strike zone for both squads.
the sail boat race continues on the bronck river.
 
Rays are surprisingly bad defensively this year. The pitchers seem to not be able to throw to first.

Tough game to day. Cy Young preview. Shane is nasty one of the best in the league.

Certainly no complaints the way the season is going, but I don't like it that DJLM is sitting today. Understand Stanton sitting, but not DJLM, especially after a 3 hit night, and against a pitcher the Yanks struggle to hit. While I'm at it, not a fan of Judge leading off.
 
game 65. and the beat(ings) go(es) on.
the red blue jays have a very good hitting team,
yet tolly, king, and holmes held them scoreless with a mere 9 total bases.
if hicks is going to keep contributing, lets fast forward to october.
jameson - the official whiskey of the 2022 yankees.
one more thing.
yanks beat the jays best pitcher.
2022 yanks. the 5th best start in mlb history.

game 66 tough one run road loss.
when yanks up 8 to 3, bases loaded. it was very obvious to be that castro lost it,
yes I was screaming to boone via my 13 inch black and white philco to yank castro.
next batter - grand slam.
the lite blue blue jays scored their first 7 runs with 4 hits.

In the scheme of things, the loss is not huge, but to lose an 8-3 lead is bad. Severino and the bullpen took the day off. Only arms to trust out there are King, Holmes and Schmidt. Let's see if Cole can start a new win streak tomorrow. Be an ace. 7 tough games this week.

king cole had a nono for 7 1/3. then a crappy ump call & 2 80 ft infield rollers.
it cost cole the decision and holmes his scoreless streak.
bravo to hicks for once again rising from the dead bat.
