Man, makes you feel a little old. Jeez, I remember when Steve Henderson was the “young” rookie coming over in the Seaver trade? Jose Reyes Old Timer? Yikes.
Bartolo must like the use of DH while Doc is gonna mis his at bat.

Ron Swoboda just threw kudos to owner as he arranged for Gil's platers to go to Cooperstown for Gil's induction. Also mentioned that Old Timer's game was cancelled in 1994 and now its back--thanks Mr. Cohen. Guess Wilpon's didn't want to spend the money.
They just showed replay of Bartolo's Homer.

I knew this was gonna be cool but I didn’t think it would mess me up this much. Retiring Willie’s number too! Ultimate FU to the god awful Wilpons and ultimate experience as a fan. I was damn near crying. Thank you, Steve Cohen.

Exactly my sentiments. Cohen deserves a lot of credit. He is really trying to involve fans and erase memories of Wilpons (and Donald Grant--Mrs. Payton would never have traded Tom Seaver). Hard to imagine NO Old Timers game since 1994.
