2020 Jets

I've been under the assumption Harris would be there for the Jets late first round pick. Maybe... maybe not. Here's to hoping Seattle gets bounced in the first round of the playoffs.
You are going to need for Miami to win this week and for Seattle to lose for that to matter.

If Miami doesn't make the playffs they will pick no lower than 18.

Also, BYU QB Zach Wilson just declared for the draft via Twitter.

a lot of Jets buzz with him at No. 2
Makes sense.

Not saying Gase is going to be back but if he is, do you think he'd prefer Darnold or Wilson/Fields?

what does Miami have to do with anything? Are they 100% taking Harris or something?

I am pretty sure Gase has been told he isn't coming back next year. Who we draft will be up to Douglas and the coach he hires.

Future Jets legend Najee Harris with an absurd hurdle and run

What made it so absurd was the defender didn't even go low heck he barely lowered his head and najee still jumped clear over him.

Holy crap.

I guess we will take Fields. Gladly

Maybe that performance will seduce the Jags into doing something crazy.
How about Ryan Day as Coach and Fields as QB.

He played great. Interested to see how he does against Bama.

No but I'm just hoping he can fall to the Jets late first and you're making it sound like the Dolphins are some kind of guaranteed road block... I'd say there's a chance Harris could make it to the Jets late first pick. I don't know if we'd take him but, we will see

Lots of reports that Gase is out after the game, or tomorrow.   Good move.

my concern is that the stupid penny pinching Johnson bros won’t fire Gase if they defeat NE today.

All I said is that there are other teams that like him, have a need, and are picking ahead of you.  You can hope he's there at 27 all you want, but hope isn't a strategy.   If you want him as much as it seemed you want him, you'll likely need to move up to get him.  I gave Miami as an example, that's all.  If I were in your shoes and wanted that guy on my team I'd be trying to figure out who my competition is and whether I need to move infront of them to get him.

Candidly, I hope you stay put.   I'd be thrilled to add him, even at #23.   But If Miami doesn't draft him there I'd be concerned about the Ravens and Buccs blowing up your dream

Hope isn't a strategy? Well I'm not in the Jets front office so I don't need a strategy. All we have as fans is hope lol... and I'm hoping the Jets get Najee Harris and Justin Fields.

you said "you're going to have to trade up to get him"

but I've seen mock drafts where he even gets past the Jets late first

so again, we will have to see

So basically the Jets went the whole season to run out of Gase.

He just called Doug Marrone
I don't like that some very mediocre coaches just became available. If we end up with a retread it'll just be more wasted years.
