Has a player ever left a coach transferred and then ended up transferring back to the original coach?[/quote]

Good question. I know they were surprised when he left and really tried to keep him from leaving. His freshman year he started out as a starter, but he struggled throughout the year with his shooting and eventually became the 6th man. Rumors in Arkansas were that after he played some pick-up games against our incoming JUCO players that year (Jaylen Barford and Daryl Macon) who were the #1 and #3 rated JUCO players that year according 247, he knew he'd be behind them in the rotation and that's why he transferred out.

I know the Watkins, Whitt, and Anderson families were close at that time when Jimmy was at Arkansas, not sure their relationship now. I'd be curious to see if TJ or CMA reaches out to him. I'm also curious why he's leaving SMU seemed like he was thriving there.

A 19-day NCAA recruiting 'quiet period' begins tomorrow.
Be very interesting to see which recruits/transfers visit the campus over the next 2-plus weeks.
Very likely with this Staff that we wont know who's visiting in advance, unless the kid tweets it.
Lol.

Source: UNLV grad transfer Shakur Juiston is considering Oregon, Seton Hall, and Grand Canyon. Will make a final decision by June 15th. Immediately eligible. #shbb

Would be solid addition to SH interior.

God I would hate to see him at Hall

They have no scholarships open so unless Powell leaves I don’t see him landing there. Unless they tell another kid to move on.

Anxious to hear word which recruits/transfers are visiting campus from now through June 12.
Of course, Coach Colombo and Staff will keep it mum until pictures are taken. Lol.
So, here’s just hoping for a ‘solid’ PG and a ‘tough’ big.
Hoping that’s not being too greedy.

Unfortunately for us Powell isn't going anywhere (I was hoping him and Howard would try to make some $$). That being said, I think they would nudge Turean Thompson toward the door for the right player. Not sure if SJ is the guy, I haven't seen him play, although some how he's a sophmore and 23 years old.

According to sources Joey and Sam Hauser have decided not to transfer to Wisconsin. Joey Hauser is reportedly going to transfer to Michigan State while Sam will attend Virginia now.

Wisconsin fans seem real disappointed.

Looks like SMU has recruited a gaggle of PG/SG types for 2019-20, including the #7 JUCO (listed as an SF in the JUCO ranks, but PG on 247's SMU's 'committed' page).
So, maybe JW thought he'd be pressed for PT in his last year?
Also, SMU has been 32/33 the two seasons he's played for the Mustangs.
Maybe he also wants to be a 'factor' on a 'dangerous' team.
Dunno.
All I know is he'd be a nice fit to some team in need of an experienced PG...

SMU grad transfer Jimmy Whitt tells me he's receiving interest from Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Gonzaga, Oregon, and Texas A&M. Returning to SMU is also an option.

Interesting, since DT is about to visit Gonzaga...a 'timely' turn of events, maybe?
Just noodling.
I'll add that Admon Gilder, a highly-ranked SG Grad-T, recently committed to the Zags in early May and he can also play PG.
Also Oregon, the #14 2019 class in the nation and the #1 JUCO in the country, a combo guard in tow, is now chasing Whitt.
The rich trying to get richer.
Lol.

Does that mean that Nebraska doesn't have any more schollies to offer?

I think you're right, Mark.
Roster looks full, not that that would matter.
But, Dachon Burke & Cam Mack sure the heck wouldn't like it either.
Guess you just never know.
Lol.

Oregon has a something like 6-7 scholarships open. That is why they are going hard after all these grad transfers/decommitments and my guess is they will land their share (Juiston, Whitt, Khalid Thomas etc. )

No doubt, you're right to add to a great group already signed.

http://www.verbalcommits.com/schools/gonzaga

Verbal Commits struggles with the timeliness if their information, but the above link indicates they have only one available scholarship. Furthermore, they have 2 seniors playing point guard and a LOI from an incoming 4* freshman. There will be no playing time for anyone!!!
