2019 Transfers

Malik did have a few good moments the year he played with Lovett & Shamorie, most memorably that Wednesday night win against Georgetown in the BE tourney. Sorry it didn't work out better for him with Pitt and hope he has a good senior year with Hartford.
I actually think if Malik stayed here for four years, it may have worked out for him and for us. He could have helped us last year. Also, with the right coach, I think he could have been a strong 6th man.
Honorable mention all-american dare I say?
Wow another transfer and another year lost to sitting out - Why would Ellison (or LJ) decide to go that way?
It's their respective lives I suppose.

Ellison is not sitting out another year as he is graduating and still has one more year of eligibility meaning he can transfer again without sitting out like his former and soon to be present again teammate Carter.

Another grad transfer point guard off the board, as UNLV announced Elijah Mitrou-Long (Texas) will join them next year.

Matt in a frenzy :)
Tennessee transfer Derrick Walker has committed to Nebraska, source told ESPN.

Is it just me or is it taking longer than usual for transfers to decommit/commit this year? Seems like it has been a really long off-season (2 months for most teams).

Not a transfer, but :
Sources: Former Cincinnati commit and 2019 prospect Samari Curtis has committed to Nebraska. Was Mr. Basketball in the state of Ohio. Four-Star combo guard.

Matt is unconscious! Nothing else to do in Nebraska, but recruit, recruit, recruit - can't even go to see his Mets.

Not transfer but per Rothstein

Did Nebraska have any players before Hoiberg and Matt A. got there. Geesh!

Former Hawkeye Isaiah Moss, who has been mentioned here recently, has committed to Arkansas
Pretty good day for them - the also got Connor Vanover, a 7'3" C from Cal

FYI-He is a Georgia kid and sounds like Georgia Tech is the team the beat. He is visiting Memorial Day weekend and says he wants to make a decision in the next 2 weeks.

"I want to make a decision in the next two weeks," Howard said about his timetable. "The coaching staff up there (at Georgia Tech) got in touch with me as soon as they heard about me getting a release. I talked to Coach Pastner."

FWIW, 2 guys we were ‘linked to’ for a nano second: are ranked higher by 247sports: Mahamadou Diawara #177, and Jalen Thomas , #224, versus this kid at #233.
Doubt we are still ‘in’ for the first 2 kids but time to get greedy.
Lol.
Let’s get the best guy we can...
Surprised we didn't make a run for this kid who wanted to come home

That's a great get for Cluess. Washington is a higher end talent in the MAAC. It will be interesting to see if he gets a waiver. Health issues with his grandparents were mentioned when he announced his intentions to transfer.

I could be wrong, but I thought it had to be a ‘parent’ or legal guardian’s health that was in jeopardy for the NCAA to seriously consider a waiver?
Of course, maybe he was raised by his grandparents? Dunno.
Also, if he is a sit-out, he would be eligible the same time as Curbelo or Diarra—potentially weakening our chances with either of those 2 guys.
