2019 Coaching Changes

We talked about Matt McCall firing all 3 staff members at UMASS and that apparently has not stopped him from landing 2 kids this week including top 100 recruit Tre Mitchell who just popped for UMASS. Kid is legit:
Mitchell had previously narrowed his choices down to six, as Indiana, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Providence and Syracuse were also in for the talented center. McCall landed this kid after letting go all 3 assistants...

Everybody loves harping on the gloom and doom. Didn’t see anybody note Zach’s comment that he expects Heron and Simon to return. If that happens, we should be very competitive next year.

Resolve the Matt situation quickly and bring in an impact immediately eligible transfer and we’re in business. A long term solution it may not be, but at least some cause for mild optimism amidst the Armageddon that some have prognosticated.

Waiting to see what happens at LSU. Tony Benford is Wade's top assistant if he leaves LSU to join Buzz at A&M then he probably sees writing on the wall and believes Will Wade is probably going to get fired.

If Matt were to leave better sooner than later. Hope not but I am prepared to accept it If it is to happen. Let’s get all staff matters wrapped up quickly.
 
Buzz Williams to Texas A&M is ‘Done’: Sources Per Zags

Makes sense with the $$ and his Texas recruiting roots if I recall correctly. Zags noted he also was an AC at A&M before.
