2019 Coaching Changes

Just curious. Would St John's want Steve Alford, and would Alford want this job? He'd be my third pick after Pitino and Hurley. I really am not a fan of Cluess for some reason.
Just recycle fired UCLA coaches...
He's had a lot more success at a higher level than either Hurley or Cluess. What don't you personally like about him? Just curious.

Rothstein
Mick Cronin tells reporters that Darren Savino will be on UCLA's staff if he does not become the next head coach at Cincinnati. Savino has been the Bearcats' Associate Head Coach.

Per Rothstein
Sources: Steve Alford is in contract negotiations with Nevada about its head coaching vacancy. No timeline for a final decision. Former head coach at UCLA, New Mexico, and Iowa.

He's good every second stop. He'll just suck at the following gig.

Talk on radio is the announcement is close. I can remember when he said New Mexico was his dream job. He took the UCLA job the next week.

We are all focusing in on candidates we may be reaching out to but despite what some might not view as a desirable job I'm sure there are many who have reached out to us with their interest. Would love to see that list.

Well bamafan, we know Ron Ron's on that list.

I'd be on board with this, but I think that's just throwing names at a wall to fill out an article.

Coaches should be barred from ever using the phrase "dream job." It means absolutely nothing ... and they often end up looking like asses.

SEC not f'ing around, 4 vacancies.
Bump

Marvin Menzies, former coach at UNLV, has taken position of associate head coach, at Grand Canyon U. The buyout owed to him, by UNLV, of $800,000 is voided. UNLV so far very pleased with the new coach, T.J. Otzelberger.
