It’s was the rule, even Boone admitted it afterwards. Runner has to give way. Sucks because the batter was automatically out as the infield fly was called. Robot umps are for ball and strikes which would have no bearing on this call.

The Martian just played his first game in the Outfield during his rehab assignment Friday. He is not ready and when his rehab assignment is over, he will go to Scranton unless one of the starting outfielders or Stanton is hurt. They are not going to bring him up to be the fourth outfielder playing once a week when they won’t to relieve Judge of his duties in Centerfield and DH him.
