Yankees 2024 Season

Yankees needed that win to stay in first place. They only lead the Orioles by half a game, and the teams are even in the loss column. Baltimore has had a much softer schedule, so far.

Still, it's shaping up to be a big 4 game series (as big as it can be at this point, anyway) at Camden Yards, beginning one week from Monday.
 
Thank God for Soto, the Rays defense, and their inability to hit with RISP. Yankees bullpen tried to give it away. It is truly amazing how many misplays this infield makes every game. Not sure I have ever seen it this bad.
 
Strikes out again in ninth. First 2 pitches well out of strike zone tries to check swing third pitch a hanging breaking ball he would usually hit out and can only manage a foul ball then wiffs on next pitch waving at a ball well outside. Never saw him look worse at the plate.
 
Bats on this team are horrible, to go along with Ferguson. Need to DFA him. What the hell is up with Judge and Torres? Looks like Yanks missed the window on getting some decent value trading him this past winter. Bad mistake. Can't be losing home games to the Rays, especially when your starter excels.
