Yankees 2024 Season

Yankees trade for Seattle utility infielder Jon Berti. Has Mariner fans singing 🎶 Bye, Bye Berti.
Got him from the Marlins. Seems like a pretty good deal as they needed a utility infielder with Lemaieu out and didn't give up a whole lot. He stole 41 bases for Marlins in 2022 and hit .290 last year, albeit with no power; looks like he can play several infield positions.

Appears he pitched a helluva lot better than average in the pennant race and playoffs last year but okay.
I agree, but is he a $25 mil. a year pitcher?

30+ plus starts in the last 3 seasons with a sub 4 ERA. That is a 25/mil a year pitcher in today's day and age. Montgomery is a bargain compared to Glasnow's deal. He just wanted too many years for a team to really bite. But he is definitely worth 25 million next season.

Unreal looking at these numbers.

The first article I read was a national not a local article and amazingly they got it wrong and said Yanks got him from Mariners.

Cashman needs to go.

I can only assume this post when up 1 inning into the new season. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Not saying it's wrong by the way, just a shining example of how crazy we sports fans are. I don't even watch baseball.

Yanks win 5-4. Soto saved the game; threw out tying run at the plate in the 9th with a perfect throw from right field. Holmes was lucky to get that save was hit hard!
