Yes a winning record is nice. With 3 wild cards they should have been competing for a spot

when Judge was out. No one stepped up.

One word to describe the season and game: Sloppy. Botched a play in RF, can't execute a pickle play after a pickoff, misplays galore, pitchers not getting out of innings after getting the first 2 outs, not being able to hit with RISP, letting a 1-15 pitcher get out of a based loaded, no out first inning, losing 2 of 3 to a 106 loss team, etc., etc.

Such a fundamentally poor team. Yet no one is held accountable.

Blow this shitty team up. Only Cole and Judge are worthy of return.

Unfortunately, clueless Boone will probably be back. I guess if Showalter can go, maybe there is still hope of Boone not returning. And so will Stanton, who absolutely sucks.

So tired of watching a fundamentally poor team day in and day out. That starts with the useless manager.

And don't be fooled looking forward to a pitching staff that includes Rodon, Schmidt and King, who were all worked over by a 106 loss team this weekend.

Make Stanton the modern day version of Smokey Burgess. Use him when you need a pinch-hitter.

I just think that the Yanks are stuck with his contact. I think I can live with an occasional home run amidst a bunch of strikeouts.

Kahnle was absolutely awful in August. No way should he be a B+. Boone should be at least a full letter grade lower. Cashman should be an F. So should Stanton. Marinaccio should be D or lower (he was terrible at AAA as well). I'm OK with the Rizzo grade because he was bad when he was playing with a concussion - when he was healthy, he played well. LeMahieu was probably a C or C- based on how he closed the season.
 
I must say that I am extremely happy that both the Rays and Jays (especially) have been eliminated. I know it's sour grapes on my part. I'm actually OK with the Orioles advancing, but we shall see. Looks like the American League East wasn't as good as everyone thought.
