this game reminded me of a SJU vs marathon oil game. why play it and the crowd was very sparse
the only play of note was $99 getting robbed of a getty.

Played it because it was a very important game for Arizona in wildcard race.
 
Good to win the final series of the home season against the feisty Diamondbacks.

I thought the Yanks lost this game in the first inning. In typical fashion, 2 walks and the inability to get out of the inning with 2 outs resulted in an early lead for the Diamondbacks. Then the Yanks get the 1st 2 batters on in their half, Torres takes a dead center called strike 3, and Wells hits into a DP. They had the starter on the ropes early.

If I never see Nick Ramirez again, I'll be very happy. Lefty specialist who doesn't consistently get lefty hitters out.

I guess the Yanks finally heard me, sitting out Stanton. Maybe they'll DFA him. Because he sucks.

Love any win over the Jays and Guerrero. Only wish the Yanks had a chance to knock them out of the playoffs.

Stanton sucks. Can't beat out a throw to the plate with the shortstop halfway. Another boneheaded non-move by Boone not having Volpe or an elephant in to run for him. His answer as to why he didn't make the change was ridiculous.

Every player Boone comments on is how good they are, how special they are, etc. If that's so why is this team not in the playoffs? Simple answer. Just look in the mirror.
 
Great efficient outing by Cole, great game by Judge. Always love beating the Jays. Keep it up one more night.

Typical game for Stanton with 3 strikeouts.

Yet another baserunning blunder by Torres. Ugh.

Cy Cole - absolutely masterful tonight. Talk about a slow heartbeat performance.

Judge is an absolute gem.

Both deserve better than their supporting casts. If the Yanks had more competitors and professionals on this team like Cole and Judge, we'd be discussing playoff matchups.

I hope $99 is in the top 10 in mvp voting, maybe sneaking into the top 5.
there are not 5/10 better al players in a per game contest.
