Cole was outstanding tonight. One of the few bright lights on a dreadful season. He's very deserving of the Cy Young this year, and even more deserving of a better surrounding cast.
 
Great outing by Cole!! Stanton, who sucks, not around to ruin it, although his brother Gleybor tried to ruin the game all by himself in the last inning. Horrid infield plays by him. I want to like him, but my eyes tell me not to.

rodone plus crappy hitting/fielding equals a loss.
bases loaded, 2 outs - stache #4 weak infield grounder.
bases loaded, 2 outs - golden glove volpe strikes out.
bases loaded, 2 out - $99 up, full count, swing and a foul tip, dropped.
next pitch - ball four - thhhhhhhhhhhhhe yanks are not shutout.
thhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhey are not shutout.
please dont play Stanton at home. the boos might cause the stadium to crash.
 
Boone uses the word "sucks" a lot, and he should, but specifically about the job he has done, and how badly his team has played.

Today was another one of those fundamentally poor and undisciplined efforts. Missed fly balls, missed pop-ups, bad infield play, inability to drive in runs with less than 2 outs, etc., etc. No one seems to be accountable for their poor play and performance.

Boone is now using the injury card. That's bullshit. All teams, including those going to the playoffs, had and have injuries.

Great job by the Diamondbacks in the 1st inning with 2 sacrifice flies to drive in runs. I don't remember the Yanks ever doing that the last few years.

Rodon simply needs to be better putting away hitters.

Same old, same old.

And of course, Stanton sucks.
 
So Boone says in the pregame that Judge and Cole are the best at what they do.

So he managed to screw up a team that has 2 of the game's best players.

As I mentioned a month ago, we have become the Los Angeles Angels.
