Yankees 2024 Season

Fine behavior from a moderator. I can read just fine. I say you're dense and Irrational and you call me a loser and moron.

But I'm sure you will just selectively delete this comment since you have that power.

Never said that's a good outcome. Just not ready to hang Cashman and automatically assume he did something wrong. I've worked in the industry long enough to know you can only control so much. There are lots of employees with access to information.

I guarantee if in 1998 you told every other MLB club, front office and fan base you could get them a GM who would have the team with a winning record for 25 straight years and win 4 titles. I bet you they would all sign up for it.
lol he just came in at the right time, take away "stick Michaels" building the dynasty, Cashman would probably be just another GM.
He does get credit for the off season FA signings and Trades at the deadline every season to fill the holes.
Plus he had George who really hated losing and spent his money.

If I enjoy next season or no is total up to the front office and Hal, Hal said a big change is coming next year, talk is cheap. Sign 2 or 3 really hitters.

If he doesn't then why put your heart into? First I gotta see what they do in the off season.

game 136.
$99 getting in to his second 250 gettys.

wells aka stache #4, learning the strike zone. swung at 3 balls out of the zone while striking out 2x in 2 at bats.

yanks beat the cheaters in front of their sold out stadium.
bravo brito.
yanks left 19 on base. dj left 5 on.
wells 3rd at bat. swings at ball outside the k zone, but his sac ties the game.
wells 4th at bat, another swing at ball outside the k zone and another strikeout.
sevy 4 innings, over 100 pitches. he gets 2 k on batter and then foul ball after foul ball.

You're pretty dense if you can't call what he's done successful. How many GM's have lasted in a role in NYC no less and had 25 straight years of winning records.

You and a few others on this thread would argue him if he told you the sky was blue.
Long streak of winning records didn't work put too well for CMA. Fired in his last 2 jobs right quick.

You beat me to it, Joe. Any win, no matter how the season is going, over the CHEATING Astros, is a good win for me.

Nice job by Brito and Peraza tonight. 13 strikeouts is ridiculous, but that's the Yanks.

The next play Holmes makes I will open a bottle of champagne. God is he an awful fielder.

And, Stanton sucks.

Boone said he was happy with the Yankees competitive at bats tonight. They STRUCK OUT 13 times. WTF? Get rid of this guy. 2 for 10 with RISP. Imagine how many more runs you might score if half those Ks were put in play.

Boone still harping on Volpe being a Gold Glove SS. I just don't see it.

Every Yankee is a great player in his eyes. Then why is the record below .500? I know.

While Volpe has gone through his share of growing pains at the plate — though he has hit 18 home runs — he has been impressive in the field with a steady glove and strong instincts.

Entering Monday, he ranked second among all shortstops with 14 Defensive Runs Saved, per Fielding Bible, trailing only the Rays’ Wander Franco (16).

Franco would appear to be the front-runner for the AL Gold Glove at shortstop, though he is currently on administrative leave as MLB investigates claims of alleged inappropriate relationships with underage women.

I agree, to the eye, not impressive , on wfan this morning, a caller compared him to Jeter.

Jeter had 22 errors his first season. Volpe 12 right now

Jeter batted .250 in 1995 in 48 abs; then .314 the following season
Volpe .218 next season............

Volpe has 20 HRs.
