Only one strikeout so for him he had a great day. The Tiger pitching must have sucked.0-4 with 1 K.

You're pretty dense if you can't call what he's done successful. How many GM's have lasted in a role in NYC no less and had 25 straight years of winning records. He pulled the same crap with Jeter when negotiating a new contract. Sometimes the fault does lay with the top guy. What is his successful record?
Hey I have a bizarre thought too. They were doing exactly what you suggested until someone leaked it to a reporter. Yeah I know. Reporters never leak things or get things early. Bizarro world I'm living in.Consider this a bizarre thought, but what if they tell the player just prior to putting him on waivers? No rules against that, and you ensure that you are the one providing the message, and not via a leak. Earth shattering, I know, but at least it comes off as somewhat professional. And, with how this front office has not distinguished themselves in any way this year, I wouldn't give them any benefit of the doubt.
The other 3 major sports have salary caps while Cashman has enjoyed one of if not the highest payroll in baseball so really can only compare him to baseball GMs. Also has benefit of an owner who is afraid to make a move he would have been gone a long time ago under George. Other GMs have been more successful over the last 20 years or so winning multiple WS while Cashman got one in 2009 and hasn't been back since. Also don't give him much if any credit for the first 4 as Stick Michael built those teams. You're pretty dense if you can't call what he's done successful. You and a few others on this thread would argue him if he told you the sky was blue.
If you think that the situation was handled well, then I don't know what else to say. And, if it's me, and it was leaked by someone in the front office, they would be unemployed.Hey I have a bizarre thought too. Never said that's a good outcome. Just not ready to hang Cashman and automatically assume he did something wrong. I've worked in the industry long enough to know you can only control so much. There are lots of employees with access to information. If you think that the situation was handled well, then I don't know what else to say. And, if it's me, and it was leaked by someone in the front office, they would be unemployed.
But, in Yankee land, such accountability is only owned by the likes of Dillon Lawson or Aaron Hicks, not any of the decision makers.
Of course you don't give him credit for those. I mean he wasn't part of that front office after all...........The other 3 major sports have salary caps while Cashman has enjoyed one of if not the highest payroll in baseball so really can only compare him to baseball GMs. Also has benefit of an owner who is afraid to make a move he would have been gone a long time ago under George. As much as the ushers. He wasn't the architect.Of course you don't give him credit for those. I mean he wasn't part of that front office after all...........
If you were a Yankee fan, you wouldn’t define success as just a winning record. Last World Series win was 2009. You’ve been defending Cashman’s failures time and again. Are you related? You're pretty dense if you can't call what he's done successful. How many GM's have lasted in a role in NYC no less and had 25 straight years of winning records.

No I'm just a rational person. You are the furthest thing from that.If you were a Yankee fan, you wouldn’t define success as just a winning record. Last World Series win was 2009. You’ve been defending Cashman’s failures time and again. Are you related?
You comments are worthless. You are a loser. No I'm just a rational person. You are the furthest thing from that.
I wish you rooted for a losing franchise for 25 years. Imagine how much more miserable life would be.
Aren't you the same moderator who yells at everyone when they insult other posters? Irony. You comments are worthless. You are a loser.
