Yankees 2024 Season

Offense really showed up again. Not. WTF was the Yankees # 5 hitter doing bunting into a DP after a leadoff walk? Who's coaching this team? Boone thought it was a good play. Fu*cken clueless idiot. BTW, Stanton sucks. Need to DFA him asap. Great play by another Yankee left fielder misplaying an out into a ground rules double. Please fire Boone immediately. How Steinbrenner will allow him to manage this team in the future is beyond me and many more.

I've never seen a team that cannot see the spin of the pitch coming out of the pitcher's hand. Bader looking horrible, and McKinney takes a called 3rd strike right down the middle. Feels like they're trying to lose with their putrid at bats. 4 strikeouts of the first 6 outs against a pitcher I have not heard of. Oh, and of course, Schmidt gives up a homer in the first to Devers to put the Yankees in an early hole. Devers commits early on every pitch. Make him chase! Instead on the 2n d at bat for Devers, Schmidt lays in a pitch for a single, giving in. Same old, same old.

Another great job by the Yankees vaunted bullpen. Not. King allowed 4 of first 7 batters to reach. Utterly horrible. Walks continue to kill the pitching staff. Poor infield play gifted a run to the Red Sux. When you're bad, you don't get breaks. Judge's at bat in the 9th was rerrible. He's paid to hit, not walk, and took a good pitch for strike 3. As always, Boone has no answers. Just excuses.

Bad overturned-call on replay. Yanks can’t help but get screwed.
This team has been bad, but also unbelievably unlucky all year. The Red Sox basically got rewarded for screwing that play up (if he doesn't slip, it's first and third, and the inning continues - IKF never hesitated either, so I can't fault them for trying for it).

I just thought the replay went on for too long. If you're going to look at it for 3 minutes (and it was almost literally that long), then you don't have a conclusive answer, right? How can you overturn?

I'm for Boone going at it with these umps, but maybe that's how they take their revenge. From the safety of a New York office building. Cowards!

Maybe my eyes are failing me, but I think he was safe and it was not even that close. His foot hit the plate before he was tagged.

Even if they got the call right, Holmes probably would have given up 2 runs in the 9th.
