Outstanding pitching performance today by Cortes and the pen. Holding that team to two hits is quite the feat. Would love to see them get 3 of 4 from the Disastros. Going to two of the games in Chicago next week.
 
Very nice win over the CheAstros. Great pitching overall. 16 Ks against that team is great.

WTF is with Stanton not running to avoid getting hurt again? Never ran hard. What is Rojas thinking? Stanton still sucks.

That and Rortvelt not getting a runner in from 3rd with less than 2 outs made this a closer game than it had to be.

Can Rodon get a series win?

It's amazing how Yankees pitchers cannot get out of innings when they have 2 outs. Time and time again. Rodon has to be better, along with everyone else. This will be a loss and a lost weekend.
 
Yanks let a .230 hitter hit 2 3-run homers today. Stanton 0 for 5, still sucks more than ever. This team still can't hit with RISP.
 
Who was the genius who decided to give us Angel Hernandez and Laz Diaz as the home plate ump back-to-back games?

At least Angel was bad for both sides, yesterday. Diaz has been giving the White Sox every outside pitch within 2 feet of home plate (which shows you how wild they've been, because Cease walked 7 guys), while Cole is getting squeezed left and right.
 
Boone got thrown out arguing a good call by Diaz. He can't even do that right. He admited in the postgame this was true. This is just an awful team, in every way imaginable. 12 strikeouts, 1 for 12 with RISP. Cole's ERA got screwed by Kahnle's ineffectiveness. Oh, and Kahnle joins the ranks of Yankees pitchers who can't field their position. Awful team managed by an awful Manager.

It wasn't just that one call though, which was a strike. Diaz called about 7 or 8 pitches that were way outside for strikes. I also though Cole got squeezed in the inning where he gave up the two run homer.

The ejection was because of an accumulation of bad calls throughout the game, especially that one on DJ.
