Yankees 2024 Season

Well he had his opportunity to make everyone forget about his postseason struggles in the 9th.
Soto got a leadoff hit, Stanton after Judge got a hit, Jazz got a hit, Rizzo got hit, bases loaded with one out. Who was that only out???
The big dud with his 3rd k of the night.
Really getting sick of him.

He's 32 right? It's not like he's young anymore.
If he was in his 20s then ok, it would be dumb.

When's he gonna start clicking in the playoffs, at 34? Very doubtful.
Who helped get us there in the first place. Imagine this team without him this season even with Soto. You recall what happened when he went down last year, where we were and where we wound up?

Frustrated or not, trade talk is a non-starter and a bad joke.

The Yankees are going to go with an offer to Soto what they are willing to pay with or without Judge’s money.

Yes tired of him not coming through in the post season just like ARod. Not tired of him being on the team. Hopefully he comes through during the rest of the post season.

Kind of hard to say they weren’t built for the post season when they won two rounds and made it to the World Series.
Fair point. I guess what I'm missing is the post season performers I watched on those great Yankee trams of the 60s, 70s and 90s. This is a storied franchise that hasn't won a World Series in 15 years and has not had many what I would call clutch players in those intervening years since 2009 including many big contracts that didn't work out. Before the year started I felt they had to make the WS to meet expectations; admittedly they've done that although with help from their first two opponents. They will have to beat the Dodgers, they are not going to lose the Series.

No one is rooting for Judge more than me but in NYC/Yankee land we expect our stars to perform in the post season (see Jalen Brunson for example).

It's all about the postseason.

Look at Edman and like on the Dodgers, they aren't stars but very good clutch hitters.
That is what's missing on the Yankees.

Even at age 32, Judge has plenty of postseasons ahead of him.

Let’s not ignore that fact that only 4 Yankees have more postseason home runs than Judge in team history.
Yeah, he's a great regular season hitter.

Hoping he shuts me up tomorrow night and goes absolute beast mode.

Misread your post.

But also, there's a lot more games in the postseason. It just isn't the ALCS and WS anymore.
I get the extra levels of playoffs, but the narrative is he has been awful in the postseason overall. Not excusing his performance in 2022 and so far this postseason. I’m just not ready to give up on him.

Well mantle had 68 game and has 18hrs, judge 55 with 15 so nm that.

Just a correction, Judge is actually 5th.
Stanton is #4 now with 17

My statement was ‘only 4 Yankees have more postseason home runs in team history.’ No correction necessary.

Edman is having “one of those playoffs”.
Coming into this year he had played in 15 playoff games, 58 ABs with 13 hits, BA .224 with 3 RBIs, 0 HRs.
This year? 13 games, 52 ABs, 19 hits, .365, 13 RBIs, 2 HRs….it happens
