Yankees 2024 Season

Ben Rice was obviously the star today, but I thought Tim Hill did a magnificent job out of the bullpen.

I know the Yankees both got the lead, and got significant breathing room, in the same inning, but Hill shut the door after that. The first five innings were very back and forth, but Hill shut the door.

Elevator Down tonight. Typical that they cannot put two good offensive games together. Another piss poor offensive showing from this team. Team looked impatient at the plate all night.

Red Sux star showed up tonight, and Judge did not. Couldn't even move Soto to 3rd with none out. Game was over at that point.

How the hell does this Manager and pitching coach allow Devers to beat them over and over with either 2 outs or with no one on base? They seemingly never have an answer for him.

Wasted a really good effort from Gil.

Rice was burnt tonight. So many holes yet again in this lineup. Hard team to like.

Things can't get worse, or could they?

It's clear listening to Idiot Boone in the postgame that they have no answers for Devers and aren't going to change their approach.

Says that after the day off he hopes the Yanks will play "their game". WTF is that exactly, getting shut out again? East Division Managers, among others, have the Yanks figured out.
 
We blame our losses on the manager, perhaps true, but I see it as having too many slugs in the lineup.

LeMahieu is no longer an asset. Rarely hits the ball out of the infield. If there is a man on first, it’s a double play because he is sooooo slooow.

The fan favorite Volpe rarely walks, about six percent. Consistently swings at the first pitch and strikes out entirely too much.

Torres is under performing. Verdugo is under performing. They tell us Wells is coming along, but I don’t see it. At least he takes a walk. That’s what we have to work with. As they say, you can’t make chicken salad out of chicken feathers.

Do yourself a favor and stop caring so much, it might do you some good.

2 years ago after being 38 games over, they almost blew 1st place.

2 years later, after being up 28? Over 500., I said that won't happen again. Well here we are they're now 17-18 games over? So this is happening twice in 3 years, and it started with Boston 🤬 how do you start the season like gang busters then just crap themselves? So time to stop giving a s*, at least until Boone is gone.

And Rodon looks like trash out there now like maybe he doesn't
give a crap, he's getting that guaranteed money right? Watch soon they'll say oh he's injured. Never fails.

Maybe they should trade him.
