Boone judgement has been horrible this year.

Really, nothing in the tank after 66 pitches.

We are in serious trouble.
Agree that this team is in trouble. Ridiculous move to take out Tanaka at that point. And, sorry to say, but between the lineups and moves made, I continue to believe Boone is not a very good manager. Yes, they have won a lot of games, but they are not going to win a Championship with him. He tries to be too cute with these changing lineups. I don't get the love affair with Hicks and Ford at the expense of Frazier.
What exactly is 'trouble' though. I agree with what you're saying but they will still make the playoffs. 8 teams make it from each League this year. They are without a doubt among the top 8 teams in the AL. So they just need to get healthy and get these kinks out of the way now.
Understood. But Yanks are only 2 games in front for the last wild card. Hard to believe they could be shut out. With the injuries and packed schedule, its no longer automatic.

Good point on schedule. Only one more off day rest of the way

game 28. death where is thy sting part 1
did i tell you how much i despise 7 inning games?
the lineup looks like an early march on the road spring training game
gardy bunts, fine, but he is the #3 hitter
5 fine innings by monty
then chad and jeremy does it again 3 homers, game gone
bravo to clint
bravo betances - oh wrong team
game 29. death where is thy sting part 2
the lineup looks like an early march on the road spring training game
did i tell you how much i despise 7 inning games?
welcome chapman - the chad/jeremy of the night cap

kraken should not even swing, that is the only way he can get on - with a walk
he loves to swing at a low and outside crap pitch

I despise the 7 inning games also but with this team right now it would just be two more innings of disgust.

Happ throws great for 7.1 innings and threw just 90 pitches, but braniac boone takes him out, and Adam boy gives up the the lead
This team can't hit for anything right now.

Going to top of the 9th and I'm turning it off. I can't take another heart breaking loss.

Lucky enough to win on a wild pitch by Betances in bottom of the ninth. What a horrible lineup they have to play with these days. Happ did pitch great today.

7 game losing streak all considered the AL seems pretty certain in terms of the 8 playoff teams

TB
NYY
TOR

CLE
CHW
MIN

OAK
HOU

Only team even close to TOR who is .548 is DET who is at .484. After that there are really bad teams. So just get healthy at the right time. And I’d like to see Cash be aggressive with some moves by Monday too

game 30
betances giveth and taketh away
welcome back mvp dj
bravo happ for surviving the 7th inning jinx
bravo voit
they find a replacement for kraken and he pulls a kraken kkk

By the end of this week, While not officially, the Yankees will be out of the playoff race. Hope I’m wrong but...

What does Gary Sanchez bring to this team? He can't block any pitches in the dirt and is batting .123. Virtually ANY catcher who can at least play defense would be better. It will be a pleasure to watch game two with him hopefully glued to the bench!

And particularly annoying that mired in a slump, he makes no attempt to give himself up and move the runner to third in bottom of the 8th which could have cost them the game but for Urshela's timely hit.

He’s not catching game 2. Kratz is.

Not many options for Gary though. He is out of ML options. I wish they would trade him too but his value is pretty low right now. And not sure Higgy Is and definitely not Kratz are everyday players.

Pitching is the massive need because of bullpen implosion by injury and performance. I can see serious consideration in offseason to Gary being traded but not before then.

I know this was likely posted when Yankees were down 7-2 but also see below and look at the AL teams

I think it was 2-2 at the time, still looking at a still anemic offense, a manager who keeps getting exposed and a Tampa Bay team coming up.
