Yankees - 2020

The Yankees better hope that Tampa get eliminated before they potentially meet the Yankees in playoffs (there's almost no chance of meeting them in round 1). They are a bad matchup for us, pure and simple. It's pretty much the same level of mismatch that occurs whenever we play the Twins (though not going on as long, obviously).

It's also gotten mental. Our guys are so afraid of making mistakes against this team, that we wind up making many mistakes (although today was a clean game - just poorly pitched from the 5th inning on).

So, root for Tampa to get eliminated in that best of 3 first round.

And now possibly no Torres either.

Yikes

Game against the Mets on Friday has been postponed. Two members of the Mets organization have tested positive for the virus.

Seems like the Yanks will appreciate the night off tomorrow, and maybe the weekend.

Definitely the weekend.

Gleyber, Paxton and Avilan all headed to DL with Grade 1 strains of the quad/hamstring, forearm, and shoulder.

So now the Yankees top 4 bats all on DL

DJ
Judge
Gleyber
Stanton

And this is a new medical staff this season?

Yankees get swept. After 5 days off that’s hardly a shock. Mets looked horrible last night after extended absence too.

Boone pulls Tanaka after 5 for some reason.

Judge leaves game early. Is he hurt yet again ?

Boone confirms Judge calf tightened up yet again

And said Tanaka had empty tank after 66 pitches

Boone judgement has been horrible this year.

Really, nothing in the tank after 66 pitches.

We are in serious trouble.

game 26. long ball does cole in
the mondoza line lineup gets 7 total bases
game 27. chad and jeremy lose it
another 7 total bases for the mendosa line lineup

Agree that this team is in trouble. Ridiculous move to take out Tanaka at that point. And, sorry to say, but between the lineups and moves made, I continue to believe Boone is not a very good manager. Yes, they have won a lot of games, but they are not going to win a Championship with him. He tries to be too cute with these changing lineups. I don't get the love affair with Hicks and Ford at the expense of Frazier.

What exactly is 'trouble' though. I agree with what you're saying but they will still make the playoffs. 8 teams make it from each League this year. They are without a doubt among the top 8 teams in the AL. So they just need to get healthy and get these kinks out of the way now.
