Yankees - 2019

Plate umpire in 2nd Game may be worst ump I've ever seen.
Heard he’s a third year ump. Surprised they wouldn’t give the job to someone more experienced
Judging by performance, he should not see a 4th season.

I understand you put scrubs in a blowout to save the pen, I just hate being up 8, and now if Britton gives up a hit it's a 4 run lead

and just as I posted that it's a 4 run lead

Unfortunately so is their pitching.

Their pitching did pretty good day.
Tarpley gave up 4 in the 1st then shut boston out the next 6 innings before Adams came in.
Very surprised Cessa gave 4 shutout innings.

Tarpey & Adama not ready for prime time. Adams.l should have been dealt a few years ago when he had value. None now. I don't like Cessa. But he saved the Yankees bacon today. Boone could have started Haap or CC for a few innings. Not a fan of Cora, but he really praised the Yanks and this team.

Praising the Yankees after saying: "The Yankees f'ing suck." at the parade?
He could go blank himself, that dirtbag garbage.

game 82.
I am not going to say that dj with his 3 hits is the leading mvp candidate for 2nd half season, as he clinched the first half mvp award. but it is his glove that makes him 2nd half mvp leader. the boston 1st baseman yesterday made boston fans flash back to bill buckner, while dj ended the 8th inning bases loaded jam with a fine defensive play.
chapman showed his all-star cred with a kkk 9th inning performance.
dare I say it - cessa might have earned a starting assignment. who else is left.
adams was yesterdays yankee pitcher of shame. winning the daily old-school-redmen why is he alive award. .
sweet sweeping boston.

And, Angel Hernandez was one of the umps in this series, so whoever was behind the plate yesterday, was not the worst possible choice (Hernandez umped at 3B on Saturday, and at 2B yesterday, so they pretty much kept him out of trouble - the reporters said that he was booed loudly, when his name was announced).

dj was officially voted player of the week - 24 to 30 june.
it was dj's first ever POW award. 625 batt avg, 1.083 slugging.
what games have these voters been watching?

John Sterling to miss upcoming series in Tampa. Not surprised. His voice has not sounded right for awhile, now. He's sounding a little bit like Ralph Kiner did towards the very end of his time with the Mets, on a regular basis. It's not quite as bad, but there are similar symptoms, at least to the casual listener.

Also, Voit to IL (as soon as they said he came out of Sunday feeling good, you knew this was coming - Yankees have turned into the Mets with these medical reports), and Mike Ford called up (which may actually be a good thing, because he's a lefty bat).

Yanks medical staff is not having a good year. Even Cashman intimated that last week. Plus their inept baserunning has caused some of this.

game 83.
stopping dj means stopping the yanks.
yanks could not beat the mets crappy bullpen.
yanks infield was great, until the 8th inning error.
adam zero gets the daily old school redmen why was he even born award.

Really annoying loss against a bad team. Poor bullpen work, and defense late.was poor. Hope there is no London hangover the remainder of the week.

Too much travel in short time disadvantaged the Yanks in game 1.

London game would have made more sense going into All Star Break

No excuses, Boston had the same schedule and scored 7 in the 1st 2 innings.

Ottavino doesn't look so great to me, yeah a good pitcher but not a shut down guy.
Britton was great in Baltimore, but post injury you don't know what you'll get from him.
Lastly, why did Didi steal 2nd, if he was the tying run then I'd get it, but he wasn't. Made no sense to me.
