Yankees - 2019

I have a feeling his knee is still bothering him. Hope he doesn't over compensate and develop arm problems.

game 80.
nice to come back from 5 zip hole.
Paxton should have been yanked in 2nd inning.
britton's 9th shows how well chapman is doing.
mvp dj - first inning a 12 pitch line drive single. walk. game tying 2 run homer.
kraken guns down another runner at 2nd. yankee player of week.
as much as idol worship dj, it is torres that I want up with game on the line.
2 days off w/o a yankee game. torture.

"2 days off w/o a yankee game. torture."

Can't disagree, but how about.....

"Yankees starting pitching. Torture. "

Yankees putting the beat down on the Sox in Jolly Old England, 17-7.

Red Sox about to fall behind by 11 in the loss column. I don't think they can catch the Yankees. They can catch Tampa and the top WC spot I think.

I left to go to the development pool with Yanks ahead 8-6. Checked my phone and saw it was 17-6 and almost didn't bother to put it on when we got home. Now I'm watching and just hoping they can hang on!

Went to a baseball game and a football game broke out. Thought MLB traveled to London but it was just the NFL again. Also thought the Yankees should have gone for the first down on fourth and one at the Red Sox 20 in the fifth inning instead of settling for the field goal. But at least the defense held Brady out of the end zone to end the game. On to Tampa Bay next weekend to play the Buccaneers. Yankees favored by a touchdown. Let's hope Eli has another good game.

Yankees/Dodgers WS anyone? Oh baseball will eat that up.

It is hard to believe that a franchise as iconic as the Dodgers are going on their 31st year without a WS title. They have of course gone to the last 2. But think about this, before they went to the Series in 2017 and lost to the Stros they had not only not won a WS since the Hershiser/Gibson team in 88, they had not been to one since 88.

What a horrible performance by Tanaka and most of the rest of this pitching staff. This team desperately needs starters. Especially with the Severino news today. This team will have to pummel their way to the WS.

game 81. half way.
pitching, pitching. where fore art thou pitching.
yanks up 8 in the east. 10 in the WC.
6th in mlb in runs behind mn, tx, sea. 8th in mlb in era behind tpa, hou, mn, cleve.
dj #1 ba, sanchez #2 hr. chapman #1 saves
dj, voit, torres, gardner, sanchez - projected triple digits in runs/and/or/rbi.
loved when dj pulled the ball for a double - hopefully less shifting on him.
biggest yankee need - 3 more starting pitchers.

I was at the game yesterday with essentially every American I know in London. The atmosphere was good. I was surprised by how many brits knew baseball. The brits next to us were Mets fans and followed them to every MLB stadium.

I'm sorry, but there has to be something up with that pitching mound. Too many good to very good pitchers got knocked around, for it to just be a coincidence, IMO. The pitchers kind of dodged the questions afterwards, which was a bit telling, to me (where's Mike Mussina when you need him, to tell us how much the foreign trips suck?). Now, it didn't look like anybody was landing funny, so the sod is probably OK, but I wonder if maybe the mound itself, is not exactly 10 inches off the ground. Believe me, pitchers (especially veterans) would notice something like that, and it probably would affect their deliveries.

Also, the turf played way, way too fast, and probably led to Voit and Bogartes leaving the game.

You know that it's a bad game, when I'm getting bored by a slugfest. That's a hard accomplishment.

Initial reaction was the same. Or the clearer batters eye.

But the more details come out about how hot and humid it was. Or remember the fact a large number of the runs were on 2 strikes and 2 outs so therefore the pitchers did something right to get to that point.

Regardless it was pretty embarrassing and boring. Painful watch and that's coming from a Yankees fan who should be happy burying his rival.

*Also the turf is the same as Dbacks supposedly.

Plate umpire in 2nd Game may be worst ump I've ever seen.

Heard he’s a third year ump. Surprised they wouldn’t give the job to someone more experienced
