Yankees - 2019

game 56.
yanks drew first blood.
my game highlite.
not hicks down 0 & 2 and knocking in 2.
not dj hitting and then clearing the wall.
not sale getting another l.
not the fabulous yankee starter/bullpen.
kranken throwing out the baserunner at second.

Loving the win vs. the Red Sux, but somewhere along the way, this bullpen needs some rest. Betances will help some. Another big hit by Gary! Just when it looked like Porcello was settling in.

game 57.
bravo yanks on winning 9th straight series.
boston might need a pitcher or two to get WC spot.
very wide home plate. too many called 3rd strikes.
boone made wise move yanking starter out early and turning it over to his highly rated (tonight a bit shaky) bullpen.

Nice to beat the Bosox, but I'm impressed how well TB is playing this season.

Winning 2 of 3 isn't good enough, gotta sweep these pos bastards.
After last year, with them celebrating at our house 3 times, a sweep isn't even good enough, tonight beating them 5 times in 5 games, and knocking them out of the wc spot further spot gives me about a 5percentage of satisfaction, but not getting giddy at all. After tonight I'll be looking forward to london.

Well isn't Boone a f'ing genius.
Down 3-2 going to the 7th Boone goes to Cessa.
It goes from 3-2 to 6-2, not only that but Boone decides to let Cessa start the 8th, so now it's up to 8-2.

WHY CESSA???????? After what they did to us, Boone doesn't want to go for blood vs. them? Don't give me the bs that oh it's a long season, we have to save our arms, WE HAVE AN OFF DAY TOMORROW. Boone is't a good manager, yeah, they kicking ass despitre him because of all the talent on the team. There's so much talent on the team that you'd have to be a complete idiot to mess that up.

Give me a manager that has pure blanking hate for Boston, that wants to beat the living blank out of them in every damn game.
Lastly, what happened to maybin? Just asking because Clint suxxxxx in RF.

game 58.
clint should trade his expensive/fancy spikes for a glove on each hand.
1st & 3rd, 2 outs, 1 & 2 count on clint and boone calls for a "fake" steal.
boone - this is the majors, not senior softball.

My eyes hurt tonight watching Frazier. What an utter disgrace. But don't worry, Boone says he's making strides.

He may be making strides but unfortunately it is not towards the ball, Been a while since I have seen such a butcher in the outfield. Do like his bat though.

Frazier is the worst outfielder in MLB (-11). He simply has horrible instincts and does not learn from his mistakes. How many times is he going to dive for balls he has no chance of catching playing a single into a double?

To expand on what you are referring to. From the Athletic:

Entering Sunday, Frazier was rated as the least successful defensive outfielder among players with 25 opportunities. His -11 Outs Above Average (or, maybe, 11 outs below average) was the worst among 142 players. Using batted-ball data, an average outfielder would have been expected to catch 86 percent of the balls hit to Frazier. In reality, he had caught just 65 percent of them. The 21 percent difference between the expected catch percentage and executed catch percentage is more than twice the next player’s disparity.

Frazier will be getting his ticket to AAA shortly. Good bat, bad glove. Frustrating to watch him in the field. He has the tools, but not the head.

game 59.
tough one run loss.
game of lost chances.
2 on 0 outs. nothing.
lead off double nothing.
then 8th inning 2 on nothing.
9th inning 2 on nothing.
clint went from feather duster to peacock with one swing.
another very wide plate, these umps are terrible.
ump call being reversed on steal attempt in middle of 4 run inning. probable game changer..

Good talking with you yesterday, Section 10. Love the updates. I had tweeted about all the missed opportunities last night. Torres does one thing every game that makes me wonder about him. Frazier building the worst of relationships with the NY media.

my pleasure. it was ernie lorch, that I was trying to recall the name.

I'm perplexed that the Yanks didn't challenge the late tag on the double play late in the game. What did they have to lose?

game 60.
the yankee infield's defense let them down
the jays terrible offense looked great against crappy yankee pitching.
cessa has been hired by the jays to pitch batting practice for them.

reminder - Lawrence peter berra was on a navy ship off the coast of Normandy on june 6th.
i'm flying my American flag today to honor yogi & the many other heroes of D-day.
I had the honor of visiting the American cemetery at Omaha beach. it should be on everyone's bucket list.

Yanks played a Little League-esque game last night. When they are bad and fall apart, they are really bad. I understand that are having a really food season, but I see so many fundamental issues with this team. Their defensive play has left a lot to be desired all season. Meanwhile, the Red Sux have picked up 3 games in 3 days. Sensing a minor blip here in their overall performance.

I hope the video coordinator does not make the next roadtrip. In two games of this series, he has screwed up, in both directions.

I would have challenged the DP in the 7th inning Monday night (I thought the initial tag was missed, and that DJ got his hand back in before the second attempt - I'm also not totally convinced that Sanchez was out at first).

Then last night, I thought it was a mistake to challenge that DP early in the game (I said so at the time - not a second guess). No way was that getting overturned. That came back to hurt in the sixth inning, when we couldn't challenge what would have been a sure overturn, that would have resulted in a DP for Toronto. I know the Jays didn't score that inning, but Ottovino had to throw a lot more pitches, and it had an effect down the line, IMO.
