game 40.
yanks on road beat first place team 2 of 3.
yanks faced 3 real good starting pitchers.
tanaka was on. many ground balls.
green 3 batters, 3 strikeouts.
I went to the game & stayed for the 40 plus minute blackout.
I have been to many mlb stadia. the trop is the worse one.

TB needs to move sadly.
MLB will likely expand to 32 (cue all those who will scream about diluted product)
All leagues will go to 32 teams and there are good markets out there. Send TB to one of those.

Austin tx is the most populated USA city with no major league team in any of the big 4 leagues.
Austin is growing with people leaving cali. that is where I would look for the rays to move to.
tampa and florida are football/football/football.
Saturday & sunday were both sellouts - 25025. both gimmick days - shirts for all, then hats for kids.
the upper deck is closed all season.
rest of non red sox teams get about 9k a game.

He's clearly still hurt. Two years ago it was Judge left shoulder and he was dreadful. Soon after season he had surgery. Last year was Sanchez. Same thing. This year only difference is it's Andujar right shoulder. Clearly impacting him at plate

Bronx bombers bats bust loose in the Bronx with 4 Ballantine blasts. 2 by torres.
happ goes 5 plus & the pen does it again.
voit & gardner in deep slumps.
happ was not sharp but effective.
an infield "single" (the throw beat the runner) scored.
happ also gave up a first row homerun.

Still, it's amazing they are in first place with Judge, Stanton, DiGregorius & Andujar all out. Yankees are the only thing that keeps me sane while having to deal with Johnnies & Knicks for all these years. Just thank God every day I'm not a Mets fan as well!

What worries me is I wouldn't be shocked if Severino and Judge don't play this year. Andujar is already out.
Didi coming back slides DJ to 3B and Urshela becomes the INF off the bench which is good. Need Stanton to come back strong.

Moose, I agree on Severino, still hoping Judge can come back at less than 100% before too long. Didi coming back would be huge...

I wonder if tanaka would have pitched the 7th if did not get hit by batted ball.
statistically - yanks / rays about dead even on offense. rays with the better pitching.
judge, sevy, et all - get better soon.

yanks used/got away with a make shift pitching crew.
please, please don't ever have dj, leading mlb in batting average with men on in scoring position, bunt again with zero outs. or even with one out or even with two outs.
a healthy hicks juices up that lineup.
