Yankees - 2019

Cut Bird. The Yanks gave up on Pineida and Eovaldi, why not him? At least they had some value.

Good to see Yanks appear to have come out of their funk, especially with 9 game west coast road trip about to start. See from today's boxscore Judge came out for a pinch runner; hope it wasn't due to an injury.

Looks like an oblique, which would be 4-6 weeks, but of course, that's for the doctors to determine

Ugh. How many injuries to key players can one team have?

Agree it looks like an oblique injury. With a guy a big as Judge it could be longer than 6 weeks. They have more guys hurt than available.

I heard last game, 6 fans also went on IL. :silly:

Wow Aaron Freaking Boone leaves Green in to blow a 5-0 8th inning lead to trail 6-5 with men on base. Boone is terrible.

Not as bad as his bullpen. Green needs to be limited to mop up duty until he straightens himself out. This is the second year he has not been reliable.

Green was fine last year. Obviously not like he was 2 years ago.
Bullpen arms have short life spans and I think he might be following the likes of Proctor, Sturtze etc...

Torre overused both Proctor and Sturtze.

Never been a big fan of Green or Kahnele (even though the latter is off to a good start).

I'll give Ottovino a pass for yesterday, since it was his first really poor outing, and I'm not sure he was properly warmed up.

Britton needs to be better (he was yesterday). I was a fan of both trading for him, and bringing him back, but the truth of the matter may be that the injury he suffered, zapped him of his ability.

In general, I think the word on how to hit this bullpen is out: Don't look for specific pitches, just look for strikes, and swing at the first one you get. It took 18 pitches to go from 5-0 to 6-5 yesterday, so you have to believe the Royals were on to something. I felt the same way in the Houston series.

That being said, they showed great character to come back and win it, after blowing the lead. This team, at least the one they are putting out on the field now, is never going to win any style points, but that does not matter.

Never thought I'd say this, but thanks to Boston for sweeping Tampa this weekend. That put us right back in the thick of the AL East race.

Amazing mini-run by Yanks with seemingly everyone they bring up contributing. Gardner has been a real unsung hero having to play way more than he would be if they had other healthy outfielders and getting some big hits.
WTF happened to Chad Green, loads the bases then gives up a grand slam, his ERA is now 16.43.
Get an mri on him. Gotta be something wrong.
I think the MRI will have to be on his head.

game 33.
rain shortened contest.
why risk injuries to million dollar assets.
the game should have been stopped innings earlier. saw too many gripless thrown balls.
german is now #1. pineda showed flashes, that is why I always thought pineda would do well for the yanks.
best part of game - when kraken goes from first to third on single to left center.
maybe hot kraken was hurt last year from the neck down.
