Yankees - 2018

Judge to miss at least 3 weeks. Chip of bone in wrist after being hbp in 1st inning.

it was the hicks/happ show today.
hicks - walk, single, double, homerun, evades a tag play, out stealing on a call reversal.

bird, walker show improvement & yanks trade for 1st baseman

Yanks trade Tyler Austin and Adam Warren in separate deals.

The Yankees add some rotation depth in getting Lance Lynn from the Twins. Meh, don't count on Lynn helping much. He has a 5.10 ERA on the season and while it's 3.68 over his past four outings, two of those came against the Royals and it comes with a mediocre 18-to -2 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Obviously, he could pitch well for two months, but no guarantee this is an upgrade.

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman figures to be a busy man for the next 36 hours leading up to the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Cashman is looking to make more upgrades to a pitching staff that already added Baltimore Orioles reliever Zach Britton and Toronto Blue Jays starter J.A. Happ last week.

Gone away is the bluebird
Here to stay is a new bird
happ, britton, voit, robinson, lynn

put your seatbelts on until 4pm today

Gray basically begging Boone to not start in the playoffs. Finally Greg Bird plays small ball instead of swinging for the fences. He'd break up the shift if he started threatening with the bunt more. Would make him a more productive hitter.

Gray is garbage why can't the Yanks just bring up Sheffield and just cut Gray, wtf would we lose by cutting Gray?
Could Shef do any worse then that loser? Yeah, if the Yanks cut him, he'd start pitching like an mvp candidate for someone else. Sometimes I look at him, and I'm thinking that he doesn't care.
Just give me my millions.
On to Boone. After giving up 5 in the 2nd, why let him start the 3rd? Tony LaRussa was impatient, and he was one of the best right? Either you sucked the inning before or you didn't, in which case Gray was horrible, so what makes you think he'll be any better the next? Maybe Boone needs to go.
Lastly. where's the Yankee offense? Yeah got 6 last night but on only 6 hits. Today held to 1 through 7, with Torres back. We're losing nothing with Sanchez (a 188 hitter.), we do miss Judge.
As I typed that, Greg walks to load the bases with no outs. Need a huge inning here.

And Romine K's and Walker hits into a dp. lol. This is becoming a joke. oh well 6-6 vs balt/
Could have cut bostons lead to 4.5 but nahhhh it's up to 5.5.

So it's on to boston. A split favors Boston, they'd take this 5.5 lead after the series which is a nice little cushion.
Boston 3 of 4 and take a 7.5 lead then the race is most likely over/
If the Yanks take 3 of 4 and cut it to 3.5 then it's a race once again, hey atleast Sale won't pitch.

Still doubting yanks take 3 of 4 but we'll see.

Was at the game today in the Legends seats. How sweet it is. What wasn't was the horrible defense played by the Yanks, especially Torres, for failing to cover a base at critical times. But then he goes and hits 2 homers for 4 RBIs. Go figure. Gray is a full on mess.

Moose moose moose. So you mind a one game playoff, Where even if you're 40+ the season comes down to one freaking game, going against the other teams ace?
Right now I'd go with Tanaka over Sev last 9 starts or 5 but believe 9, his era is 1.76.

wtf does Boston win the div every year, why not avoid the 1 game bs game.
I don't want any part of it.
