Yankees - 2018
the yankee bullpen is the best in baseball.
boone's one relief pitcher/one inning each, has done the job.
a healthy bird is a star(starter). saw him a few times in spring training when he was healthy. dont give up on him.
the yanks mos for producing runs is doubles/home runs. look at runs scored not battg avg.
losing torres really hurts. they are 500 without him.
sanchez needs a checkup from the neck up. no one in baseball hotter than him in his first 6 months of baseball.
i went to the game last night. sanchez's attitude ruined my sleep. i'm going again on wednesday.
17-16 when Torres has not been on the active roster this year. 46-19 when he is. An MVP in the truest sense of the term.

If all that's left is for him to prove he can play back-to-back days, then I'd test that with the big club right now. If he can't, he's going back on the DL anyway. If he can, it's an extra game that he gets on the ream.

One day too late, IMO.

I would sit Sanchez for a few days. Use Romine. Maybe just sitting will help him clear whatever is going on in his head . His defensive technique leaves much to be desired. He needs help, before we can expect him to help the team

Now said to have reaggravated groin.

So many issues with this team and the game last night. Severino has been ordinary lately. I think there is something physically wrong with him. Not a Girardi fan, but he got killed last year with his handling of Sanchez, and the Yanks partly sided with Sanchez in all this. Now Boone is here and the Sanchez bullshit still happens. Common denominator is Sanchez. I truly believe this winter Cashman will look for a partner to trade him. The bunt was ridiculous last night. Stupid baseball move. The longer the season goes on, the more I question a lot of Boone's moves.

Not directed at you but a re-aggravated groin could also be interpreted as a benching for a few days with a very well timed excuse.

Sanchez needs either an attitude adjustment or a change in scenery. This is getting old. Catching is becoming the Yankees biggest weakness among position players.

Not his head I am worried about, it is another part of his anatomy that he needs a kick in!

Sounds like a face saving issue raised to cover for his lack of hustle. Get Draymond Green to kick him in the groin that will fix it. If he tweeked it in first inning how was he able to run hard at the end of his jaunt to first base in the 9th inning without even the appearance of a slight limp afterward.

10 game benching haha.

Sanchez is like Cano in how he carries himself. Very laissez fair. Super talented but between the ears it's lacking too. Too bad he's hurt now. Would have loved to hear a week of trade rumors from the NY sports fans :)
Then put his ass on the dl, call him up in september, f'ing sick of him
He was placed on the DL with a groin strain today.

Would like to see the Yankees try to get JT Realmuto from the Marlins over this next week. Love the way Romine and Higashioka work with the pitchers, but they just don't bring enough offensively to justify being out there everyday.

Well part one worked (DL).
Now can they leave him there atleast until September.
WTF good is he?

Nice to see Tanaka on his game tonight. Complete game, three hit shutout. Yanks really needed this tonight.

10 games left with Boston. Realistically, we will need to take 7, or at least 6, out of 10 to catch them. 7 of the 10 games are in Fenway so it will be a tall order. Hopefully, they lose tonight and then we are only 3 behind in loss column. Oakland hot lately, not out of the wild card race.

all you need to know about tonight's complete game shutout win * bird gets a double.
