Don’t want ball in Wusu hands either Mase
If you have Posh play his game and never look to shoot threes he would be fine. Trying to do too much and not doing anything well.
Needs to play like North Carolina points did King Rice, Ed Cota, Phelps
They couldn’t shoot but did what they could do.
Posh's best year was his freshman year. He has gotten progressively worse since then. He would not get much playing time on the majority of big east teams.

What the heck happened to this kid? And it has nothing to do with Curbelo.

Again if Curbelo could shoot I think would have taken pressure off Posh but I believe his lack of shooting totally got into his head

It’s not that I don’t think Posh getting minutes at the 1 w/out curbelo wouldn’t help him some. It’s just I think there are times he deserves to sit. A lot of these mistakes you can’t blame anyone but him for. If having the ball in wusu’s hands scares you, what does having it in curbelo or posh’s do? Night terrors? I’m not sure what Posh has done better than wusu this year. In fact, if we are being honest, and look past the whole ‘it’s his team’ thing, posh has been the biggest factor in our poor play.

One of the strangest things from last night’s game was when Soriano was ready to shoot a FT, the area was quiet, and CMA was loudly screaming, “Posh, Posh, Posh.” Did anyone else notice that?

Because Posh has a track record and in the past has done things well. Wusu is usually a mess who occasionally does nice things

Another thing. Not going to happen BUT only way ship gets righted and we run off some BE games is if Posh plays well.
So he gets some rope because if write him off basically writing off season. Again I have written it off already but as Lloyd Christmas once famously stated about the same odds “so your saying their is a chance”

All valid criticisms of players and coaching in the thread. . .most disturbing aspect for me was how engaged the Xavier players were in their huddles. . .they had the look of a team that is focused on a goal. . .Soriano appeared to be the only one who showed interest in our huddles. . .not sure if there is an official or de facto captain on the team, but we need some leadership from players as well as the staff.

and, despite all of that we had a shot with 1:39 left and Curbelo driving to the basket. . .for a guy who can finish with either hand, and has used his left to finish, why he tried that awkward reverse with his right hand is inexplicable but has come to be expected.

Curbelo does not embrace making the easy play over the flash, on this team with such a narrow margin of error that is not a good formula. Down the stretch last night in striking distance, he did not use his head in two instances opting to rush & play hero ball w zero results.

When players are tuning out the coach it is almost always because they don’t believe in what he is preaching.
Again maybe the noise in the gym affected it but it mostly sounded like gibberish
Not joking, the coach of my bad HS team gave better instructions

On point with 1:39. A basket would have made it really close down the stretch. Didn’t need some fancy play
