The fanbase chased Lavin out of town. Why? Because they had to have Mullin, and anyone other than him would be completely unacceptable.

The fanbase demanded that we have a roster filled with New York kids. We got Posh, Wusu, Soriano, and Traore. Other than Soriano, the others have been a disappointment thus far this year.

The fanbase was convinced that Madison Square Garden was this great big recruiting tool, and that that would be enough to get out of state players. It isn't.

The fanbase then demanded we hired an experienced coach that had a clean record/background. So we hired Anderson, even though Pitino would have came in a heart beat.
Pinning all of this on the fanbase is some of the grossest inaccurate shit I’ve read on this site hahahaha.

Get a grip man

Got abused on the pick and roll, pick and pop!!!! As CMA said they have struggled with this all season. In todays college game your half court defense must be able to handle this. No improvement after so many games is tough to understand!!!! Another point against high level half court defense Curbelo struggles as he has no consistent outside shot. Big time players at this level execute in the half court on offense and defense. Recruiting and player selection is questionable in this area.

What are you talking about?
I think what he is referring to is based on last season. At the end of last season when the program grossly underachieved, the excuses ran like a river. There was COVID, Champ missed a few games, Posh got hurt etc etc etc. The team lost every close game as game ending strategies were non existent yet the fan base, or at least most on this site, echoed the excuses and criticized anyone who was critical of the staffs performance.

So in essence, the fan base represented on this site and those who have Cragg’s ear, got what it asked for, another year of the Anderson experiment.

Let’s not act like Curbelo is the only reason Posh is struggling. Posh has labored just as much when Curbelo is sitting on the bench. Maybe being selected preseason 1st team all Big East has put pressure on him to perform at a higher level.

Name one thing i stated that is not true.

1) there was fair skepticism from the fanbase about Lavin. But if the school decided to keep him we would’ve all dealt with it. It was Bobby G who fell in love with the idea of having mullin. So get your facts straight.

2) some of the best players that have played here during the Mike A tenure are from New York. Julian Champagnie is from New York. but unfortunately we can’t get over the hump and make the tournament. That’s not the fan bases fault

3) the msg thing doesn’t even make sense. Is it the fanbases fault that next season UConn will play more games at MSG than us? The fanbase can’t push MSG as a recruiting tool because whoever’s in charge at St. John’s doesn’t even let us play there anymore.

4) The fanbase was very much split on what to do after Mullin. But the people in charge at st Johns were in such disarray that the entire thing became a disaster (please see the Repole/Francesca interview). And we were basically forced to make a “safe” hire in Mike A.

Blaming the fanbase for all this shit is wild. You know there’s actually people running this program right? The ones in power make all the decisions

This would make sense but unfortunately he elaborated and is blaming the fans for every wrong turn this program has taken for the past 10 years which is just insane to me

You say all those things now to make yourself not sound foolish. But that is definitely not the reality of how anything of these things went down. Nice try though!

Many of the fan base would not have been upset if Anderson was fired after last season.

Tough but expected loss. Xavier seems built to beat us. The all access thing was not flattering for CMA. he sounded like James brown out there (the singer), Had little command of the huddle and no real great instruction. This season is headed nowhere.
The "all access" isn't flattering period, regardless what's being said. I'd prefer to hear the broadcast booth when I'm tuning into a game on TV.
